I picked this book partly due to the fact that it came with the complete medical dictionary on a CD. It would be great to leave the book at school and install the software on my home computer...medical books are heavy!!!
Unfortunately, most of the medical words that I've had to look up in my courses have not been in this reference book. I'm taking a medical secretarial course, so this book would be a major disappointment for anyone taking nursing or medical.

This medical dictionary is comprehensive and very informative. Its style is encyclopedic, meaning that it not only defines terms, but also continues into detail. I would highly recommend this dictionary to lay persons and to persons in entry-level medical positions.

Great terms but some are not found in it Ill need to get yet another medical dictionary.

If you are looking for a good technical resource than this is not your book. Much of what I needed was not in the book and there are no pronunciations for the terms. I would not recommend

I read the reviews saying not all the important words were there but somehow I wanted to try myself. Unfortunatly that was true. I did not find many words there and I had to buy another one. However, If you find what you need in it, the definitions are excellent. (A general worker in Health care might find it useful, but professionals or students will need another one).

The book has helped me out a lot with my studies. I am studing medical assisting and coding and the dictionary comes in handy more than i thought it would! thanks alot

This book does not go in-depth at all. I needed a book for a medical terminology class and this one just did not cut it. I am returning it.

It seemed like every other word I had to look up wasn't in this book. Does not include alternate spellings. Luckily it only cost me about $8, so I'm not really out to much.

This is a decent casual medical dictionary, for the medically curious, but if your looking for help with terminology on the professional level, spend the money and buy something better.... like Taber's

The terms of this book are too simple and limited. This is a bad medical dictionary book.
