Review

"My way at the altar best describes A Wedding Ceremony to Remember. Readers can choose from six whole ceremonies, traditional to family-inclusive. Modify these from his selections of prayers, readings, vows and special touches such as the unity candle. Worksheets help pull it all together into a dignified occasion without the expense and million-option headaches of other industrial-strength wedding books." -- Dallas Morning News Book Review

Marty Younkin's wedding ceremony book is the best I've seen. Couples can create their ceremony just the way they want." -- Association of Certified Wedding Consultants

From the Publisher

Regardless of your background, heritage, or religious affiliation, this book is designed to help you choose the perfect words for your unique ceremony. Since you design the ceremony, you know exactly what is going to be said, and because it is in a manual/workbook format, it is easy to read and easy to use. Personalized ceremony worksheets are included to help you custom design your wedding ceremony. Diagrams and illustrations showing the different entrance, exit and altar variations are included also to help the you choose the right formation for your particular setting. Finally, a wedding ceremony order of service takes you step by step from the entrance (processional) to the exit (recessional). The author has provided you with the "best of the best" of vows, readings, prayers and blessings, etc., rather than overwhelm you with volumes of material to read through. This book is, therefore, concise and practical, yet still allows for originality and creativity.

2.0 out of 5 stars Not for non-religious ceremonies, February 15, 2001

I was disappointed in this book. It was very thin for one thing...not a lot of choices. Also, if you are planning a non-religious ceremony, you will not find much to use. I was not impressed.

I was fascinated by "A Wedding Ceremony to Remember." This easy-to-read manual has many ideas and suggestions to help you plan a wedding ceremony that is just perfect for you! Whether you follow one of the suggested ceremonies, or use it as a springboard for your own ideas, you will be very glad that you have this book in your possession. I found the "All In The family" and "Second Time Around" sections especially interesting and creative. I wish I would have had this manual when planning my own wedding ceremony. Purchase it today...you won't be sorry!

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect Words, March 11, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: A Wedding Ceremony to Remember (Spiral-bound)
This book has been so helpful in planning my ceremony. I wanted to tell other brides why.

1. This is a "how to" manual that is not just another wedding planner, but rather a "word planner". It makes you give some thought to what should be the most important part of your ceremony--the words that are spoken. (Plus, you know what's going to be said so there are no surprises.) 2. It's concise and complete. It gives you just enough choices without overwhelming you. It offers more than vows and readings like so many other books. You can create your entire ceremony or choose one "as is". 3. It's easy to use because it's laid out so simply (including the personalized ceremony worksheets).

Thank you, Mr. Younkin, for allowing us brides to have a choice in what we want said during our ceremony. (Mine is all put together just the way I want it.)

A Thankful Bride
