Not for non-religious ceremonies,
By
This review is from: A Wedding Ceremony to Remember (Spiral-bound)
I was disappointed in this book. It was very thin for one thing...not a lot of choices. Also, if you are planning a non-religious ceremony, you will not find much to use. I was not impressed.

Fascinating Ideas and Suggestions,
By Judy Payne (Burlington, IA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Wedding Ceremony to Remember (Spiral-bound)
I was fascinated by "A Wedding Ceremony to Remember." This easy-to-read manual has many ideas and suggestions to help you plan a wedding ceremony that is just perfect for you! Whether you follow one of the suggested ceremonies, or use it as a springboard for your own ideas, you will be very glad that you have this book in your possession. I found the "All In The family" and "Second Time Around" sections especially interesting and creative. I wish I would have had this manual when planning my own wedding ceremony. Purchase it today...you won't be sorry!

Perfect Words,
By A Customer
This review is from: A Wedding Ceremony to Remember (Spiral-bound)
This book has been so helpful in planning my ceremony. I wanted to tell other brides why.1. This is a "how to" manual that is not just another wedding planner, but rather a "word planner". It makes you give some thought to what should be the most important part of your ceremony--the words that are spoken. (Plus, you know what's going to be said so there are no surprises.) 2. It's concise and complete. It gives you just enough choices without overwhelming you. It offers more than vows and readings like so many other books. You can create your entire ceremony or choose one "as is". 3. It's easy to use because it's laid out so simply (including the personalized ceremony worksheets). Thank you, Mr. Younkin, for allowing us brides to have a choice in what we want said during our ceremony. (Mine is all put together just the way I want it.) A Thankful Bride

Every bride to be should read,
By Silly Girl (Addison, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Wedding Ceremony to Remember (Spiral-bound)
My mother in law purchased this book for me after I told her that I thought all wedding ceremonies were basically the same and that I was going to leave the ceremony to the minister to decide. All I cared about (I thought) was marrying the love of my life.I had the book (still in package) 3 days before I found time to open it up to skim through. When I finally did, it was 3 hours before I put the book down........but by then I had customized my entire Wedding Ceremony. This book has everything, from traditional to contemporary ceremonies, readings, vows, wedding traditions.(And their meanings) As well as, processionals, recessionals, altar formations and other special wedding touches. To bring it all together, it also has worksheets in the back for both the Rehearsal and the Ceremony itself that allowed me to create a Wedding Ceremony that is uniquely for me and my future husband.(We are getting married 12/27/02) This book definately lived up to it's title, A Wedding Ceremony to Remember....perfect words for the perfect wedding!

Highly Recommend!!!!,

This book was GREAT! It was just what I needed for planning my ceremony. It really has a lot to offer a bride to be! I had no idea where to begin and when I got this book, it saved me! My entire ceremony was from this book...verbatim. After the ceremony, I had so many people complimenting us on the ceremony and how unique and wonderful it was and how great Marty was! This book has several different types of wedding ceremonies ...traditional, contemporary, short & sweet, second time around, civil and all in the family. It has several different readings, prayers and blessings. Several different vows and ring exchange vows. It has "special touch" ideas...ceremony formations, order of service and even a rehearsal worksheet! I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS BOOK TO ALL BRIDES TO BE!!! Thank you so much Marty!!! Tom and Lisa Craig

The best wedding book I purchased,

While I was engaged, I spent a lot of money on wedding books I thought would help me write the perfect unique ceremony for my wedding. I wish this was the first one I had bought, because there was no need to buy any other. This book contains ceremonies, readings, poems, and everything you need, plus a worksheet in the back so you can mix and match and create your own. With all the stress I was under, it was a relief to find a book that helped me so much. I mixed and matched parts of different ceremonies, added a reading, and BOOM! I got my perfect ceremony.

A Wedding Ceremony To Remember,
By Rev. Anthony Sutherland (Chicago, IL, USA) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Wedding Ceremony to Remember (Spiral-bound)
As a singles pastor of a large singles ministry in the Chicago area I have the opportunity to perform many weddings each year. I have almost every book on weddings and wedding ceremonies and was looking for something fresh and new. This book is just that. Thank you, Thank you, Thank you. I appreciated the fact that the material in the book is contemporary and current. I have received such positive comments since I started using the materials in this book. I'm greatful for the spiral binding of the book so that it lays flat and I can easily compose the ceremony that the bride and groom want. This book is the best I have ever seen in 16 years of ministry.

Marginal,
By A Customer
This review is from: A Wedding Ceremony to Remember (Spiral-bound)
Considering all the excellent reviews this book got I was looking for something great. What I got was something marginal at best. Unless you have absolutely no idea how to plan a wedding and none of your friends, family, minister, or any other person has a clue as to what to do in a wedding - you may want to continue your search for a book. I wouldn't go as far as to even call this a book. Someone with a "crunch binder" and a good color printer at home is making a KILLING on these things. If you don't want a religious ceremony, you're out of luck... If you want to go beyond "filling in the blank" on the 3 or 4 various ceremonies listed then you should keep looking for another book. Or contact me and I'll GIVE you the one I ordered so no one else gets ripped off.

Simply Put "A Ceremony to Remember",
By Teresa and Tom McCracken (Plano, Texas) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Wedding Ceremony to Remember (Spiral-bound)
Thank you, Marty Younkin, for giving Tom and I the opportunity to be creative in what we wanted to say and how to say it! We received numerous compliments after the ceremony on our vows and three weeks after the wedding people are still commenting on our vows and your delivery of the ceremony! I would highly recommend this book to all couples planning a ceremony, whether it is the first time or a blended family, you have managed to touch on all relationships. This book provides suggested ceremonies that you may use or you may create your own utilizing the ceremony worksheets. Simple and easy to use, what more could you ask for? This book is a must for anyone wanting a unique and memorable ceremony!

Life Saving Book,
By Nova Baker (Las Vegas, NV) - See all my reviews
This review is from: A Wedding Ceremony to Remember (Spiral-bound)
To say that my fiance and I were bewildered when it came to the "vows" talk is to say that the Grand Canyon is a nice little ditch. When I received Marty's book, it was like a light went on for us both. We actually became excited to select (and customize) our ceremony vows. Amongst the hassle of gathering ettiquette books and attempting on our own to compile a ceremony, we were extremely relieved to find such a treasure like this book. If you are even considering a wedding, I highly recommend this book. It's ALL you will need when it comes to the ceremony.
