I GAVE THIS DRESS TO MY GRANDDAUGHTER FOR CHRISTMAS. SHE RECEIVED AN AMERICAN DOLL AND THE OUTFIT WAS THE PERFECT SIZE FOR THAT DOLL. MY GRANDDAUGHTER LOVED THE DRESS AND VEIL.

Bought this dress to fit an 18" american girl doll as a birthday present. I gave it low stars because you can't play with it...you dress the doll. The dress was nice and in good condition.

This was a simple buy -- and it is beautiful. It made her First Communion Day even more special. She carried her American Girl doll, with that dress, everywhere. it was worth the cost (which was expensive in my point of view).

Just received the gown and dress. Very pretty and should be special for my niece. Just can't figure out how the veil is supposed to attach to the doll's head! It's a lovely piece of lace but with no apparent attachments or even tiny bobby pins, it's going to be a challenge to get the veil on. For the price (although I know this is much more affordable than actual american girl doll clothing) I really wish it was more complete. I hope it fits her doll and we can figure out a way to attach the veil!

We were sent a dress, but the veil was missing. We contacted the seller, Carpatina LLC and they told us that we had to go through Amazon for a replacement as "the item is located in Amazon's warehouse."

I have contacted Amazon and all they have offered is a full refund (no comfort for a little girl who is missing a piece of her special gift for First Communion). I have indicated to them that I need them to get me a veil immediately. They have responded with the same canned response passing the responsibility back to Carpatina.

What you have here is 2 companies refusing to stand by their product. Rest assured I will never order an item from Carpatina LLC, who refused to take responsibility for their quality control issue, and I'm unlikely to use Amazon anymore because they refused to go into their warehouse, open a box and send a veil. Not only that, but every written complaint is being answered with the same canned response (i.e. they're really not paying attention).

If you want to avoid frustration, don't order this item, get it from another place that will support and back up their product.

I can't comment on the quality of the merchandise as half of it is missing.

I rarely, if ever post negative reviews. That tells you how ridiculous I feel this customer service story is.

I bought this for my niece's American Doll. It fits perfectly and my niece really likes it. She can pretend her doll is getting married.

Purchased for an Our Generation doll, very nice fit and my 4yr old daughter loves it. The material is of a very nice weight, seems to be well made and something I expect to last the test of time. The veil is tricky to keep on, as it does not fasten with anything, however a bobby pin easily solves it. The veil has some pleats or darts that help it to take shape to the crown of the head, but it slides off pretty easily. I would still recommend this product, superior quality, just wish it came w/ shoes.

My grand daughter was awed by this dress. She couldn't wait to put it on her AGD. She thought the dress was beautiful.

I think the dress is nicely made,but the veil is such a letdown.It is basically a folded & top pleat sewn w. stitch, piece of cut veil.There is nothing pretty or finished to that.I suppose we have to pin it on, & hope it is right.
