Emphatically Recommend!,
This review is from: Wedding Feast of the Lamb (Hardcover)
I emphatically recommend this book for anyone who wants to know more about the theology behind the Eucharist. This book takes a systematic study through the Old Testament and the New Testament as its basis. Therefore, as a scriptural approach to the theology of the Eucharist, it is invaluable. The author approaches Eucharist from the authentic Catholic perspective and therefore one should not expect to read comments about what others may call "Eucharist" but which really is not that which is presented in Scripture.

Best book on the Eucharist I have ever read. Kereszty knows his stuff, presents it very well and writes accessibly. You will not be disappointed.

One of the first things a Catholic learns is that the Eucharist is 'source and summit of the Christian faith'. Thanks to this book, I am beginning to understand why the Church says this so emphatically.
This is not an easy book. It is written by a scholar, and for scholars, of high calibre (our Holy Father, Benedict XVI, won the same award for theological scholarship as the author of this book. Nevertheless, I am grateful for the insights I have been able to glean about the awesome majesty of the Mass.

Sound Doctrine,
This review is from: Wedding Feast of the Lamb (Hardcover)
I think the book is well organized. It is most helpful with defining the nature of eucharistic sacrifice. The section on the early church fathers is good. But the book is quit academic, and not devotional. Those who want to learn sound doctrine as well as some histroy,or who want to delve into the differnt ways of speaking about the Eucharist, this book is exellent.
