Book Description

November 1, 1997
Dreams can come true.

Dream specialist Michael Sands couldn't have conjured a more perfect dream woman than the beauty that lay asleep in her wedding gown under his Christmas tree. Nor could he resist kissing her awake.

Briana Berry wasn't disappointed to awaken in the arms of the sexy stranger dubbed The Sandman at his Institute of Dreams. But she was more than alarmed to find that the precious life she remembered did not exist.

How were they to find out who she was when their only clue was the compelling dream from which she awoke? A dream in which she was the bride at a spectacular winter wedding—until danger arrived as an uninvited guest.

Amazon.com Review

Handsome psychiatrist Michael Sands specializes in patients' dreams, but he falls into a dream of his own when he finds beautiful Briana Berry sleeping under the Dream Institute's office Christmas tree late one night. Answers to the many questions that arise from this discovery--how she got there, why she's dressed in an expensive wedding gown, and what her real identity is--pose a giant mystery, one Michael has to solve. As he struggles to maintain a patient-client relationship with Briana, he's painfully aware that he has fallen in love with the fascinating mystery woman. As Briana searches for the memory that eludes her, she falls more deeply in love with Michael. Why can't Briana remember what she's really like? Why does she remember a childhood far different from the one her mother describes? Why does she feel threatened by the man who insists he is her new husband? Rodgers has created a plot with enough twists and turns to satisfy the most demanding mystery fan, and just enough romance to add the right amount of spice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Proves Why Rodgers is The Best, October 4, 1998
By A Customer
This review is from: The Dream Wedding (Fortune Cookie, Book 3) (Harlequin Intrigue Series #445) (Mass Market Paperback)
"The Dream Wedding" is another of Rodgers' books that demonstrates her amazing ability to create a moving love story and a very intricate mystery in a mere 250 pages. The opening was a little hokey, but after that, the book took off and never let up. Trying to figure out the mystery of Brianna's past takes them all over the country, sorting through conflicting stories in a twisting tale that is impossible to figure out ahead of time. But it's the investment that Rodgers places in her characters that makes you care about the mystery. Michael and Brianna are two real people who totally come to life and who are definitely worth rooting for. One moment they share over a yearbook picture when they make a crucial discovery had me near tears--the appropriateness of Michael's response to Brianna was simply perfect. No mystery or romance fan could possibly be disappointed with this book. It has it all. The best Intrigue of 1997.
