I loved this book because it was so funny. I love the way she writes her characters with such heart. I felt like I was actually inside the book with the characters, that's how good her book is. I laughed so hard at the ghosts antics. If I may be so bold, I reccommend you buy this book right away!

I laughed a lot while reading this book and I have reread it many times. It has got a good plot,well drawn people and a nice romantic tension between the heroine and the man she falls in love with. I do not call this man the hero of the book, because the real hero of the book is the wedding ghost. This ghost has got a charming personality - quite on the cheeky side as he pulls off great jokes. He is so fond of the just visiting heroine (who is the only person who can hear and see him) that he plays Cupid for her and the lord of the manor in order to have her in the house permanently. This book is almost as good as my all time favourite which is "A daring deception" by the same author.

I just recently found this author and have a stack of her books now , waiting to be read. In this novel Anna & Beth travel to Devonshire for Beth's wedding. Beth is to be married in the family chapel and if the GHOST doesn't show up then the marriage was meant to be... Anna things this is all made-up and grooms brother Roarke is suppose to be even more scary then the ghost. On Anna's first night she has encounter with both the ghost and Roarke and the mystery, adventure and romance begins...

Off to read more by this author....

I was pretty skeptical about the ghost part at first but as I got to reading I really enjoyed it and couldn't put it down. The story line is very fun too. I'd recommend this one!

i actually found this book thru amazon and after reading the reviews (rare to get a 5 star), but i had to have it. The story is about romantic poetry-loving Anna who meets woman-hating Roarke, who is also her sister's future brother-in-law. Rourke's family has a tradition that all brides and grooms in the family marry in their family chapel and if their love is true, then all goes well, however, if their love is faithless, the family ghost, Charles, will appear. I found Charles to be wonderful and fun and yet vulnerable at times and a very mischievous fellow. He has a secondary story in the book. Anna and Roarke meet and immediately dislike one another but eventually come to love each other. Roarke, though, was unable to give Anna his full trust and that led to a lot of problems for the two. I love love love the ending when they did eventually get to marry - how romantic! If you want to know more, read the book!

This is my favorite book by this author and I have read several of her books. The story not only has a romance between the hero and heroine of the book but there are three other romances that take place throughout this story.

The story is brillantly done--there is a lot of humor in this book--a very likeable, engaging ghost- who takes a liking to the heroine-- a heroine who is a delight --a daffy, endearing, loveable aunt/matriarch to the story and a hero who is a handsome rake who's interests lie in the stars and astronomy. This one is a keeper that I will read again and again. Very entertaining and worthy.

I was just looking up this book to see if I can find similar books in the recommendations, so I thought I should add a review while I'm here.
I've read this book several times. The book is 255 pages with normal size print. Terribly silly cover, but it's a short pleasant story.

I loved this book. The characters were fun and the story line was so entertaining. I was particularly fond of the ghost. I have read this book several times and will not give it up for anything. It is a pleasure to sit back, relax, and escape into the world of a story by Cindy Holbrook. I recommend this book to everyone. Actually I recommend any book by Cindy Holbrook. I don't want to tell the plot because it would spoil the fun for someone.
