Ms. Tobin has written a great book for aspiring wedding photographers! I ordered the book and thought I could read it all on a flight from NYC to Chicago- boy, was I mistaken. This book is so stuffed with valuable information and insight, it's impossible to digest it all in one reading. Everything one needs to know about creating wonderful wedding photos is in this book. From "The Role of the Photographer on Wedding Day" to "Websites, Albums and Equipment", each chapter is full of valuable information. Incorporating the thoughts and musings of 20 outstanding wedding photographers on each subject, Ms. Tobin blends the abundance of info rather skillfully. The final chapter is nearly 40 pages of the 20 photographers profiled in the book, giving their own wedding day thoughts, insight and advice - each complete with a sampling of their wedding day images! This chapter alone is worth the price of the book!

And the images! The photos throughout the book are are astounding! They're clean, sharp, bright- no doubt the best of the best. As if that's enough, technical details are given for EVERY photo, - camera and lens used, F-stop, shutter speed, and a brief description by the photographer of the how the shot was conceived and made by the photographer as well!

I don't normally gush over photography books because they often seem to be light on information and value. But Tobin's book is a solid reference book that should be kept side by side with other recent great photography reference books, McNally's "Hot Shoe Diaries..." and Grecco's "Lighting and the Dramatic Portrait...".

I have to say when this book arrived I didn't open it right away. I had to wait; I waited for an evening clear of any distractions so I could sit down and enjoy it.

I sat down, opened the cover and started reading. A little background: I've been documenting weddings for four years now. After a while, its so easy to get trapped in the same style of shooting. This book has inspired me to be different, to push myself out of a mold.

Ms. Tobin's publication has an incredible amount of knowledge that photographers have been so grateful to share, along with industry insights, techniques, and so much more.

It is absolutely inspiring to listen to the top twenty minds in wedding photography discuss everything from A to Z. This book is my new favorite 'coffee table' book. I find myself going back to it again and again on a daily basis.

If there is only ONE book to own on wedding photography this is it. Its the most comprehensive, insightful book I've read. When I finished reading through it the first time, I felt as if I'd taken a master-class/workshop session with each one of the photographers.

Some books you order are pure fluff...you order them and are very disappointed you just shelled out money for 'that'. I can't stress how much content/knowledge/great stories there are in this book to appreciate. This book is an inspiration!

One thing I loved about this book was that it featured quite a few film photographers, especially Elizabeth Messina and Jose Villa. They are two of my favorite wedding photographers. It's wonderful to see the author putting emphasis on film photography here. She does have a good eye and taste.

This book has some typographical and technical errors but overall is a good resource for inspiration. If you're new to wedding photography you would most likely benefit a lot more from [ASIN:0981745504 Fast Track Photographer: The Definitive New Approach to Successful Wedding Photography]]. This book is most useful for inspiration just before you head out to shoot a wedding.

I've had this book for a few weeks now. I've devoured every page, I've analyzed every photo, read every story, and yet every time I pick it up, I learn something new...or am inspired in a new direction.

The information in the book is worth far more than the any workshop I have been to, for a fraction of the cost. There is no "this is what you need to do". Instead, you have top photographers sharing what works best for them. I did not realize how much knowledge there would be in this book. I think almost every single sentence gave me something to think about. Not everything would work for me, but I can take what others have used and create something that is truly my own.

The photos don't plug the latest actions, but showcase timeless, classic, GOOD photography that you would want to place on your wall for ever.

This book isn't sugary pop, giving you a quick sugar high that will let you down hard. It is a fine bottle of wine that will only improve with age.

After reading this book I was charged. Charged personally, creatively, and professionally. Highly recommend.

I have been a professional wedding photographer for over 10 years and stay up to date with the current trends. This book conveys vital, current and usable information for wedding photographers. The images are inspiring, emotional and beautiful. I love the book as it records a journey in this industry that I have experienced. I highly recommend the book for any photographer looking for new ideas, beauty and inspiration.

The author does an excellent job guiding us through the thought processes of some of the best in the business. Some of my favorite photographers illustrate the book beautifully. Beyond the pictures, keen insights are provided that go beyond the usual tips and tricks. This is a roadmap for the serious wedding photographer and it treats personal vision and creativity with the reverence the terms deserve. This will be on my reference shelf for a long time.

I ordered this book after I saw that several photographers who I respect had offered insight in it.

It just arrived today so I haven't had a chance to try out any of the advice, however I must say it is really laid out beautifully. I love that each photograph has a "recipe" of how it was created. I also enjoy the bios in the back where I can see what each of these photographers uses to shoot their award-winning photos.

This book is a must-have for any wedding photographer or aspiring wedding phototographer!

For me it is not a good book on wedding photography, maybe a book on wedding photographers. I could not find good ideas, good tips...
