Pretty to look at, but not functional., July 21, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wedding Planner (Spiral-bound)
I am a big Martha fan, but I was very disappointed with this product. It was not nearly large enough to hold all my receipts and contracts. Also my bridal party was large, and there was not enough space for all the information about them. It comes with a slipcover, but my planner was bulging with so many papers, I could never fit it back into it! The book itself is lovely, with a pretty cover and beautiful pictures. But it isn't useful for brides in the real world.

overpriced and oldfashioned, September 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wedding Planner (Spiral-bound)
I was extremely disappointed when I attempted to use this planner to organize my wedding. I received it as a gift and would like to pass it on to someone else for their use, however I know of no one who would want the headache of trying to use it. It simply had very little room to hold the necessary paperwork and wasted too much paper on the guest list. The photos seemed to be from the 70s and there weren't enough dividers to realistically organize even a bridal shower!

Not what you would expect from Martha, January 23, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wedding Planner (Spiral-bound)
I bought this wedding planner as soon as I started planning my wedding coming this September. I thought, due to Martha always seeming so organized, that her planner would be a good choice. I was terribly disappointed. The pictures are from the eighties, there is not enough room in the pockets (mine is bulging at the seams), and there is not enough room to write in your entire bridal party. Also, I wish there was a calendar in the standard format. There is only one that goes line by line for six months before. I had to staple one of those cards from Hallmark with a calendar on in the inside. I am here now to shop for a new planner. Please, save your money and don't buy this!

useless, June 4, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wedding Planner (Spiral-bound)
Searching through all the planners to find the right one for yourself can be a bit hellish! I chose Martha's based on her reputation. You really don't know how it will work for you until you actually use it which was what I wasn't able to do! It seemed that this planner was only useful to Martha as I had no tents, far more guests than the planner provided for and I found the tab headings to be ambiguous. My advice: get a notebook and folder until someone makes a more modern useful tool to aid the busy bride-to-be!

unorganized and lacking flow, February 15, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wedding Planner (Spiral-bound)
I found this planner to be a bit outdated and not useful for all types of weddings. While being an avid "Martha" fan I was a bit disappointed to find too much emphasis placed on facets that not everyone uses. More space should have been geared toward areas that help a a bride organize the event. I found myself flipping through this planner to try & relocate items that were previously placed under very ambiguous headings.

Great for ideas!, October 4, 2002
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wedding Planner (Spiral-bound)
Although I was not having the "traditional" wedding, Martha Stewart's Wedding Planner was a great help! My mother used a wedding planner book, and this was the best one we could find. Some of the items were not applicable, but the basic ideas were, and it really helped me stay organized. No pockets in ANY wedding planner book would be big enough for all quotes, so don't be turned off by that. My mother and I had a great time filling out the pages -- I really liked the book. I suggest you buy it even if you're having a wedding at home...because you'll have all those memories in that special book of your special day.

Great Memory Book!, October 10, 2002
By A Customer

Ok - so not all of us can have a "Martha" type wedding... However, a lot of her ideas were extremely helpful in that they helped me decide what I did and did not want for our wedding. It also helped me stay completely organized; I could go back to my Planner and see what someone quoted me, or when payment was due on anything. This book compliments her "Weddings" book, which also has great recipes in it. I have also given this book to my girlfriends who are getting married -- they love it too. Buy it!

Expensive and unnecessary planner, April 30, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wedding Planner (Spiral-bound)
I'd better used a 3-ring binder full of the wedding items I really need instead of using Martha's. Some of her wedding items in this planner is only for those with big budget and very unnecessary for brides with realistic budget, left alone the price of the planner. It's not even big enough to hold every single receipt and contract.

one of the better planners out there, July 23, 1998
By A Customer

I looked at many of the wedding planners and in fact even purchased a different one, only to go back and buy the Martha Stewart Planner. It kept me organized, on time and on budget. Our wedding was fabulous!

This organizer is very limited, April 5, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: The Wedding Planner (Spiral-bound)
This book is very small and there is not enough space in it to store the many full page contracts you receive. The bridesmaids sections only has entries for 5 bridesmaids - if you're like me this is not enough. I am a fan of Marthas, but am very disapointd with this planner.
