This review is from: The Wedding Rescue (Harlequin American Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
When Tanner comes home after a seven year absence his main concern is to stop his brother Nathan's wedding, which he is certain will be the biggest mistake of his life. What he is not expecting is his attraction the sister, Charity, to Nathan's bride to be.The sparks fly and things heat up, between Tanner and Charity. They fight their attraction, but alas it is not to be. Readers are in for a fun filled read, with a wealth of characters that you can associate to. Dianne has done a super job of portraying this couple. It is a book that once you start you want to keep on reading till the end and then leaves you wishing for more.

Alaskan bush pilot Tanner Davenport flies home to Kentucky to stop his brother from marrying neighbor Savannah MacKay. Savannah has never stuck to anything and Tanner does not believe her marriage to his brother can possibly last. When he shares his concerns with Savannah's older sister Charity, she promises to help him stop the wedding, while plotting to ensure that it actually goes off without a hitch. It has been eight years since Tanner and Charity have seen one another and the attraction between them is palpable. But he loves flying, whales and the aurora borealis. Charity loves horses and is raising a possibly Kentucky Derby contender. Unfortunately, a mysterious illness threatens Charity's plans. So while she struggles to keep her horse business thriving, Charity strives to keep Tanner as far away from Savannah as possible for the next two weeks until the wedding takes place. Author Dianne Castell takes a well used plot and adds her own flair to create a freshly delightful tale in THE WEDDING RESCUE. A well rounded cast of characters keeps the pages turning swiftly as Tanner and Savannah threaten to set the bluegrass state ablaze. Neither Tanner nor Charity is prepared to deal with the impossibly strong attraction between them. With a rich background and delightful subplots that comes alive with Castell's deft pen, THE WEDDING RESCUE comes highly recommended.

A delightful Story,

When Tanner arrives in town to stop his brother's wedding, he never imagined an obstacle like Charity. All grown up in all the right places, Charity agrees to "help" Tanner stop the impending marriage between his brother and her sister. Along the way Tanner sees another side to his "Kentucky Girl". The witty banter between Charity and Tanner will have you laughing and cheering for them. The secondary characters in this story are just as charming and endearing. The scenery is so vividly described in The Wedding Rescue it makes me want to go visit Kentucky. Along the way, Tanner realizes you never know how much you miss being home until you are gone.

When Tanner Davenport flew his Cessna from Alaska and had to do an emergency landing in McKay land he was not ready for Charity McKay to be so... Charity! He has been gone for seven years but he could remember that fiery red hair anywhere. He thought his younger brother needed rescuing and that's what he came to do. Kentucky brought back a lot of memories, good and bad ones, but he couldn't fight the new sparks flying everywhere when Charity was around. He knew he couldn't stay and Charity's life was here at the ranch. Her life was horses and his the airplanes. But a common goal might help them to fight the attraction between them rescuing their families from making a life altering mistake. Dianne's stories once again tug at the fibers of the heart. A story about loyalties and friendship, coming together to turn into a fun sexy romance. This is a great story about love and ties that bound the hearts of a family and friends together.

When Tanner Davenport lands in Charity MacKay's pasture one afternoon, she's certainly surprised! Especially since her farm is in Kentucky and her old friend Tanner has been in Alaska flying as a bush pilot for the past several years. Tanner is in town for his brother Nathan's wedding to Charity's sister Savannah. But Tanner thinks Savannah is too flighty and unpredictable for his calm, stable brother. He wants to stop the wedding! But Charity is determined to see her party-girl sister married to a nice, dependable man like Nathan. Charity pretends to go along with Tanner's plans but she needs to think of a way to keep him away from her sister. Her plan? Keep Tanner so bedazzled that he forgets all about breaking up the wedding. All she has to do is figure out a way to transform herself from a tomboyish farm girl into a desirable woman and get Tanner to stop thinking of her as his childhood pal. Then Charity has to convince herself that her sister's happiness is her only motive when she's trying to attract Tanner!Dianne Castell has outdone herself. THE WEDDING RESCUE is a heartwarming story that just happens to be overflowing with humor, including some of the funniest lines I've ever read. It's fun to read and nearly impossible to put down!

The Wedding Rescue is another gem by Dianne Castell.Tanner Davenport is coming home for the first time in seven years. After a major falling out with his father he is returning home to the family horse farm to try and stop his brother Nathan's wedding. Nathan is set to marry Savannah Mackay their neighbor. Tanner hadn't planned on the obstacle of the bride to be sisters Charity. Tanner and Charity first meeting has them both startled to realize they are attracted to each other. Tanner decides to enlist charity in helping him to stop the wedding. Charity in turn agrees to help but is really keeping an eye on Tanner. All this togetherness has Tanner and Charity thinking more about each other then their siblings wedding. Charity and Tanner's conversations and thoughts are hysterical. This book will make you laugh out loud and it will touch your heart. Their chemistry is amazing and their growth as a couple will keep you routing for them to have their own happy ever after. Not only will you enjoy the main characters, all the characters in this book will find a special place in your heart.

fine contemporary,
This review is from: The Wedding Rescue (Harlequin American Romance) (Mass Market Paperback)
Alaskan bush pilot Tanner Davenport lands his Cessna on Charity MacKay's horse farm claiming he was low on gas and needed to talk to her. She informs him that his family farm is bigger and that she knows nothing about Alaska and flying and he knows less about race horses in spite of growing up with them. Tanner has come home to Bluegrass Ridge, Kentucky for the marriage of his brother Nathan to her sister Savannah. In fact Tanner has come home not to attend a wedding, but to stop the marriage as he believes his sibling is making the error of a lifetime, which he makes clear to Charity. Trying to keep his interference to a minimum, Charity tags along side of Tanner, but the attraction between them heats up the Bluegrass State. As she also works a potential Derby contender, Charity knows he is Alaska and she is Kentucky making anything permanent between them more than just a minor commute. Though the interfering in marriage theme is a trite topic, Dianne Castell makes her intelligent romance feel like the first novel to use this theme due to a deep wonderful cast. Tanner and Charity are a fine pair struggling against a deep attraction that neither wants. Their family members augment the tale with a feel for horse breeding country and insight into the lead duet. Fans will want to ride (either by plane ore horse) along side the dynamic duo as they attempt THE WEDDING RESCUE that could easily boomerang. Harriet Klausner |
