5.0 out of 5 stars Fun and engaging September 15, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I love books like this, with good character arcs that show the evolution of the characters in response to the events of the story and their interactions with each other. And I love books like this where you can meet characters you would actually want to know in the real world, people who feel like friends. The result is a story in which I became invested in the characters and cared about what ended up happening to them. I loved seeing the interesting approaches that Megan took to solving problems going on with Kevin's siblings that had previously stymied Kevin's parents. And I liked the way the complications in the plot served to alter the relationship between Kevin and Megan, pulling them rapidly out of the superficial levels of interaction that are common at the beginnings of relationships. so if you are looking for something interesting to while away an afternoon, I highly recommend this fun and heart-warming romance.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It! September 2, 2012
Format:Kindle Edition|Amazon Verified Purchase
I'm a big sucker for marriage of convenience stories. Who doesn't love a fairytale? The Wedding Wager didn't disappoint. Megan's tough luck tugged at my heartstrings. The girl needed a break, and on boy, what a break Kevin Wake is! A hero like Kevin is guaranteed to make you swoon. If you're a fan of Harlequin romance, check out this one. You won't be disappointed!

3.0 out of 5 stars Just Okay October 24, 2012

I really wanted to love this book. I just couldn't. It was okay, the characters were interesting but could have been much more. I felt that the book needed to have more content from when they met and the beginning to them (spoiler) saying we are in love and the end. It was so quick which made it even more unbelivable of a story. That said, it was an entertaining read but not something that I can rave about.

I enjoyed reading this book because it took place in the west where I was born and grew up. These stories remind me of home, with horses and ranches and a bit of romance thrown in. Read more

More About the Author

Hi! I'm Regina Duke. I live in Northern Nevada with my canine companions. I am hard at work creating a new novel for you to enjoy!

I've walked the beaches of Spain, shared a Mexican shower with a four-inch-long cockroach, and heated my 10th floor British walkup hotel room by running hot water in the bath! Back home in Nevada, I write fiction from romance to cozy mystery to quiet horror and soft science fiction. I sometimes write dog books and share credit with my alter ego, Linda White. As Linda, I write about my talented papillons. They are earning titles in rally, obedience, agility, and tricks.

I love it when readers identify with my characters. One of the most thrilling compliments I ever received was when a reader asked me which local veterinarian employed Terri Baker, my vet tech heroine! That tells me Terri really leaps off the page for her.

I hope you enjoy all my characters and stories. You can also view my websites at www.reginaduke.com and www.lindalouwrites.com (where I include lots of dog info).

Happy reading!
