These have been specifically designed for use in clear glass containers and will light up upon contact with the water. Special weighting will ensure that the light remains submerged at the bottom. Purchased this to use in my centerpieces at my destination wedding later this year. I have since changed my mind on what to use but I still have this and love it. I plan to use it at dinner parties or other events to give it some nice decorative lighting.
