How ingenious.

My entire family recently discovered the genius in this simple product. It does only one thing, but it does it by exceeding all our expectations. How many things in life can you say that about?

1. I use it with my iPhone to watch movies on flights when I travel - duh.

2. My son uses his MW with his PSP, also to watch movies. But, like one of the photos on this page, I see my son balancing his PSP on one knee as the MW holds his PSP just at eye level. A mini home-theater, wherever you are. Brilliant!

3. My son also keeps his MW by his bedside, propping his iPhone in portrait mode - the iPhone is his alarm clock to wake him up in the morning.

4. The best part is that I can hurl the MovieWedge at my son (relax, It's soft) like a bean bag when he doesn't do his homework, JK.

The MovieWedge has this nice, grippy fabric all around, doesn't slide, and is stuffed with some sort of cool beads. It feels downright eco-friendly, and organic, yet high-tec. The kind of product you just want to keep squishing in your hands. The best part is that the fabric material seems to be ideal for cleaning the smudgy film from my iPhone, or my laptop.

It's well-designed, with a little shelf at the bottom of the base that prevents the iPhone/device from sliding around.

My MovieWedge gets a thumbs up everywhere people see it. Old people, young people... as soon as they see it they instantly know how they could use it themselves. I wish I had invented this.

Finally an iphone stand perfect for watching movies!
I had troubles with other stands sliding around (mostly on airplane tray tables) however this one is fantastic.
You can use it anywhere! I even use it at night while charging and using as alarm clock, as i don't have a dock.

Sometimes the best idea is the simplest in design, this is five stars! and by far the best money I've spent on my iphone yet.

After looking around for a good stand to watch movies on my iPhone, I came across the movie wedge. It props up my iPhone perfectly on desk at work, I use it while riding the bus and it works well on flights. When watching a movie, my arm gets tired and uncomfortable half way through and I'm usually trying to hold my arm against the seat in front of me which is annoying. I can put the Movie Wedge on my knee and it stays pretty stable. The material is soft, like a cloth that you use to clean the lens or computer screen, so it works as a cleaning cloth as well. The Movie Wedge is essentially a bean bag for your iPhone. It's small, light and it's not a bother to tote around at all. If you are a commuter, traveler or need a stand for your iPhone/iPod at work, this is perfect!

Bought this based entirely on the positive reviews here on amazon and am so glad I did.
It's great! Took it on a 6-hour plane flight last week. It holds my iTouch at just the right angle for movie viewing.
But I also used it with my Kindle. No, it won't fully support the Kindle. But it offered a steady base on the seat-back airplane tray table.
I love this for travel and it's one of those very simple designs that makes you say: "Why didn't I think of that?"

A simple idea that just plain works. I use the moviewedge to watch TV/Movies with my iphone on the airplane. I haven't tried it with other devices yet, but I like the idea that I COULD. It's small and light enough to make it a great travel companion. A good Christmas stocking stuffer, I will be looking to pickup more of these to give away as gifts.

Anyone recall the Peanuts character Peppermint Patty and the cat she always had slumped over her shoulder or arm? Regardless of the setting, that cat adapted to whatever Patty threw its way and managed to always find something to slump over and become one with right? Apply that image to that of a small personal electronics accessory and born unto u is MovieWedge!

The MovieWedge is all that it's described to be and more. First off know that this gem isn't only for iPhone...it can be used for ANY small portable device such as PSP, GameBoy, Any Cell or Smart Phone, iPods, MP3 Players, GPS, Mini TV, LCD Screen, etc etc. I have been through no less than 8 different iPhone stand accessories since upgrading to the iPhone 4 in July and every last one of the 8 has either broken or been returned. Why? All the others are made of either plastic or other rigid materials which are fine as long as the surface that your iPhone is standing on is flat and sedentary, such as a desk, chair, table etc. Change the setting to a vehicle dash, airplane tray table, train, boat, your knew, et al. and its only a matter of time that your expensive device crashes to the ground. Frustrated, I was about to give up my search until I came upon MovieWedge and BAM! PROBLEM SOLVED.

I use this thing in my car, on subways, on my knee, airplanes, camping, boating, skiing, ...you can use it ANYWHERE. Just like Patty's cat. And viewing angle? Device placement? All virtually infinite thanks to it's "bean bag" design type. I love it so much I just placed an order for 35 to give out as Xmas Gifts.

"Simple Ideas That Are Borderline Genius" couldn't be more true in regard to MovieWedge.

After trying some of the home made iTouch stands shown on YouTube, I had decided on a flexible stand like the In Your Face (IYF) but stumbled onto the Movie Wedge, a much more elegant solution.

Besides some apparent build-quality issues expressed in the reviews here, the IYF is limited to places where there is a firm ledge, no thicker than 2.5 inches (not easily used in bed, for example); it could get tangled up and damaged in the junk of a backpack (I tend to be a little careless when it comes to toting stuff like this); the clamp that holds the iTouch itself doesn't look very secure especially if, as the manufacturer claims is possible, you keep the case on the iTouch, and it looks as though it may require some fussing to secure the iTouch in the clamp.

The Wedge is inert and light (2.5 ounces); easily (carelessly) thrown in a bag without worry; its shape and ledge hold the iTouch securely (with or without a case) without having to secure the iTouch to the stand; the only fussing required is "mooshing" the Wedge down to conform to irregular surfaces and it's more amenable to a greater variety of surfaces (your knee, for example); it feels nice in your hand; and is a third of the cost of the IYF. The IYF has the advantage of raising the iTouch closer to eye level but all else considered, I can live without that.

Smart, simple; wish I'd thought of it. 5 stars without hesitation.

Works well, simple yet perfect. Great for the couch, bed or a plane. I use it as a stand also.

This bean-bag type stand keeps my iPhone upright as well as hands-free and scratch-free...and it can be molded to pretty much any base, including the tip of your knee! the suede-like fabric picks up every little piece of lint, but I suppose a more-lint-free afbric wouldn't keep as good of a hold on my precious iPhone!

My boss had purchased one of these for his IPhone and it looked cool and worked great. I had an idea it might work with my Kindle Fire and it does! Will NOT however, support it vertically, but for watching a movie or just listening to music at home or on a road trip, this thing rocks horizontally! Simple, yet effective. So it can be used for my phone and my Kindle...I'm happy.
