5.0 out of 5 stars Who done it!
The next to last book in this series of 12, all the books in the "Fortunes of Texas" series are well written. I can't seem to put any of them down til I've read from front to back. Wedlocked! is really great, you learn a little bit more about the Fortunes and all their problems in the past and gives you insight into the future. Cole and Annie go under cover...

3.0 out of 5 stars Wedlocked?!
I found this book terribly inconsistent with the previous books in this series. Granted you'll want to read it to gather the necessary information to learn more of this ongoing story but I found it an interruption in just plain enjoying the book. This was the first book of this series I had to stop and rethink info the author was giving us. Many facts were untrue...

Cole and Annie go under cover to find the real killer to free Lily, Cole's mother, from being framed for murder for the murder of Ryan's, Lily's fiancee, soon to be ex-wife.

4.0 out of 5 stars Wedlocked?! Review, August 10, 2007
This review is from: Wedlocked?! (The Fortunes Of Texas) (The Fortunes of Texas, 11) (Paperback)
While I mostly enjoyed the book, there were a few major inconsistencies that really bugged me when I was reading it. I would think it would be important to keep details consistent in a series...even if each book is written by a different author. I felt that the author didn't do her homework in keeping the details straight, especially one that I thought was a key plot point.

I definitely think this book is important in the on-going series, and was worthwhile reading, especially to keep up with the on-going mystery. And I enjoyed the characters of Annie and Cole and the chemistry between them was very strong. They have a difficult past to overcome but I think the love they share will be enough for them to make it through.

I found this book terribly inconsistent with the previous books in this series. Granted you'll want to read it to gather the necessary information to learn more of this ongoing story but I found it an interruption in just plain enjoying the book. This was the first book of this series I had to stop and rethink info the author was giving us. Many facts were untrue according to previous authors. This bothered me to see that Toth didn't do her homework as well as she should. BTW I thought Toth a competent and entertaining writer. If she wanted to create her own facts she should have gone back to the previous authors and had them change their facts.

I liked the investigative work P. I. Annie Jones did but I didn't appreciate the disloyalty the hero portrayed in his association with the heroine six years previous. What makes you think that he'll be loyal this time round? They never stopped loving each other during that time but their track record isn't good. I hope they make it.
