5.0 out of 5 stars Great bedtime reading
I recently picked up this book for my children, ages 2 and 4, and it has become a favorite bedtime read. I love that it taps my children's excitement for animals and encourages them to think in unusual ways - do cats like spaghetti, for instance? We can use it to reinforce the concept of time as we watch the clock tick closer to 3 o'clock when the children return home...

3.0 out of 5 stars Just ok
After a long time acquiring this book, my daughter finally got a used copy. We have another Cocca-Leffler, Bravery Soup, which is just great, so I wanted to get her this one, too. I recently picked up this book for my children, ages 2 and 4, and it has become a favorite bedtime read. I love that it taps my children's excitement for animals and encourages them to think in unusual ways - do cats like spaghetti, for instance? We can use it to reinforce the concept of time as we watch the clock tick closer to 3 o'clock when the children return home and the cats rush to tidy the kitchen. And big words like "spaghetti" and "guacamole" have my 2 year old trying to say new words. It's a good length for a bedtime story - not so long that my younger child looses interest or the story line becomes too complicated, yet there's enough to wonder about that it holds my 4 year old's attention also. It's a great bedtime book!
