Wee Sing In Sillyville [VHS]

I have worked with children in three different day-cares where the wee sing tapes were used. The children all seem glued to the t.v. I have seen all of the wee sing videos and I think Sillyville out ranks them all. The day-care I currently work at does not have this particular one. They have The Big Rock Candy Mountain and the children all love it. I am going to buy Sillyville for my own son and try to get the day-care to purchase it as well. I have been trying to find this video for the past three years. My mom had a copy that she loaned to someone and she never got it back. We also had at one time The Wee Sing Train, this one was a big hit with the children too. Eventually I hope to own all of the Wee Sing videos.

I am 12 years old and I received this video when I was 3 or 4. It was my favorite movie for years. I would watch it over and over and over and over. It is easy for kids to understand yet it is still fun for adults. It teaches a great lesson, "Color shouldn't matter", and the songs are really fun. I still enjoy watching Sillyville with my younger sisters. I own all the Wee Sing movies but this one is my absolute favorite. I recommend it to anyone.

I ABSOLUTELY love this video!! I first saw it when I was a mother's helper for two little boys and could not get the songs out of my head from the first day that I heard it. Years later, I became a teacher in a daycare center, and decided to purchase the video to show to my toddler-aged class. To my amazement, the ENTIRE class sat still for the entire movie, even my hyperactive student!! Even after watching it many times, whenever they heard that the video was coming on, they all would gather around the tv and sit quietly. It is a must have if you have children of any age.

It all started when my older cousin was little and she got Wee Sing in Sillyville. Then it went to my other cousin, and then I got it. I loved it when I was little! All my relatives couldn't take it, but I used to watch it a million times. Now the tape is about 20 years old, and we dug it out of the closet for my 2 year old sister. Just today my 12yearold cousin and I, 15, were watching it with my little sister, and we found ouselves singing along to old and almost forgotten songs. It's practically a tradition in my family to watch a video about two kids, Lori and Scott, who are transported into a magical world and meet almost-too-loony Sillywhim. I don't know how I'll ever get those songs out of my head now!

My son is almost two and has been watching this video for months now. He absolutely loves it and every child who has seen it with him gets engrossed as well. It has people and children singing and dancing, not cartoons. Really cute!

My husband purchased this video in 1990 when our son was a toddler. It was been watched so much that we purchased all the other Wee Sing titles as they came out. When I started my daycare they became favorites. I loaned them out and have never received them back so I have to order them again. I love them as much as the children. I can't understand why they are not available in every store.

I FINALLY FOUND SILLYVILLE AGAIN AFTER 8 YEARS!! Someone at school said they had it and they brought it to me. Now all my questions have been answered! The blue people were the Twirlypops. The giant purple bird was really the wump and maybe I was thinking of the Tittlebirds for that? Anyway it was just as awesome as I remembered it. The "I'm A Nut" song is real funny. And the Spurdle Gurgles rock. If you have kids you should get this for them, and all the other Wee Sing movies, because not only are they good for kids, but they will still love watching them over and over, even as they get older, and remember being a kid, like the 14-year-old Anonymous Wee Singer. Ha! Now that I have found all four of my Wee Sing movies, I am off to see the rest! (perhaps on DVD?) -The famous and well-known: Anonymous Wee Singer--who now has her own fansite, (...)

I used to watch the videos, when I was a young child. Yesterday I heard a friend of mine sing one of the familiar tunes, that I had recognized. Later on, in the day we found an old Wee Sing video and watched it, remebering the old times. We both agree that the Wee Sing videos are great movies.

If you have little children, you should buy this video for them. My little sister loves it! It is about two children named Laurie and Scott who get pulled into Sillyville with their dog, Barney, where they meet Sillywhim. They are turned invisible and meet Sillywhim's friends, who don't wan't to talk to eachother. If you get this video, you will meet her friends: The Spirtlegurgles, the Twirleypops, the Fruggy Frogs, the Bitty-Booties, and Posha. My favorate part of the video is the Wump!

When I was a little girl I watched this movie all the time. It never ever failed to entertain me. Now this is the only thing that will make my 1 yr old brother hold still for longer than 10 seconds. If you have little kids, I HIGHLY recommend you get your hands on this movie. You'll even be singing the songs all the time and they won't come out of your head, but you don't really mind (most of the time) because they're such awesome songs! This movie can seriously be a sanity saver.
