4.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely awsome
I bought this seat online almost three years ago for my son. I did not even attempt to assemble it. I took it to a bike shop. I paid more than what it is being advertised for now but it was well worth it. My son loved it. We rode almost everyday for two summers. His little sister just turned one and she loves it too. 3.0 out of 5 stars Great concept, but doesn't work for shorter parents
I was given this product last year for Christmas. I have only used it twice with my son, who was 16 months at the time. The problem with the seat is that I am not very tall (5'3"), which makes my body hunched over low to hold the handle bars, so the baby cannot sit up straight and is squished into an uncomfortable position while riding. We couldn't lower the seat any more...

4.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely awsome, July 21, 2006

I bought this seat online almost three years ago for my son. I did not even attempt to assemble it. I took it to a bike shop. I paid more than what it is being advertised for now but it was well worth it. My son loved it. We rode almost everyday for two summers. His little sister just turned one and she loves it too. They don't have to stare at my bum and we can interact while we ride. People are always stopping us to ask where I got it from. The only downside is that because the seat is in the middle it is difficult to stand up and peddle which usually makes going up hill easier. I generally try to stay away from hills because it is difficult to keep momentum up since you can't stand. Both of my children have fallen asleep in the seat before which is kinda difficult because when they start to lean it throws off the center of gravity and makes steering fairly difficult. I've learned to head home at the first sign of eye rubbing. Other than that it's great. Like I said I paid more for mine and I would do it again. Definitely worth the money. Let someone else put it on though.

The problem with the seat is that I am not very tall (5'3"), which makes my body hunched over low to hold the handle bars, so the baby cannot sit up straight and is squished into an uncomfortable position while riding. We couldn't lower the seat any more either. Needless to say, he didn't enjoy it at all, and now I am on here looking for a rear mounted bike to try again. I would recommend this product, however, to others because it is a great idea.

4.0 out of 5 stars Just Great, August 28, 2006
This review is from: WeeRide Child Bike Seat (Colors May Vary) (Sports)
The seat only took about 10-15 minutes to attach. The instructions that came with the item were not very helpful- I had to figure it out by looking at the pictures on the box. I am not sure why some others may have had problems putting it together but all in all it was relatively easy. There were only a couple of nuts and bolts to the entire unit. It should fit most 26" bikes. It fit nicely on the inexpensive Huffy Coaster bike that I bought through Amazon.
My daughter just loves riding around in it and my wife loves being able to have her ride where whe can see her. What a great product!!
The only problem. The item did not come with the advertised free toddler helmet. It was a little dissapointing but Amazon was very quick to provide a refund for the helmet part that was missing.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great experience for my daughter, August 29, 2007
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: WeeRide Child Bike Seat (Colors May Vary) (Sports)
I bought a WeeRide after being disappointed with the Burley Trailer. The trailer quality was fine, but for anything buy pavement riding, it spray's debris into the seat compartment. My daughter was covered in dirt, sand, etc. This was not fun for the canal path her in Ohio.

What I love most about the Wee Ride is the experience. The seat lets me be my daughter's tour guide to the world. We have great little conversations about seeing bunnies, birds, joggers. I get to point things out to her and she responds. It is great. With the trailer, I felt we just brought here along for the ride and she wasn't really thrilled.

As far as the product goes, it's well built and sturdy. My knees DO NOT bump into the bottom of it. I'm not sure why that happens to others. It might be the type of bike you have. There is some adjustment possible. I have a large hybrid bike (Trek 7.2). There needs to be a little room on the neck of the bike right below the handle bars, beneath the headset, to secure the WeeRide. I don't think it would work on my wife's bike for that reason, who has more of a mountain bike. The harness is a little basic, but I feel much safer with her between my arms than in the back or in a trailer. Also, the balance and control of the bike is unaffected. Rear mounted seats can't claim that. My only complaint is that I wish it had a little cup holder for the rider.

Overall, I'm very happy with the product. I haven't used the trailer since. My daughter loves going for rides with me and it truly is quality time for just me and her.

3.0 out of 5 stars Not for short people, September 2, 2008
This review is from: WeeRide Child Bike Seat (Colors May Vary) (Sports)
Great concept. Easy to install. Interaction with my son while I rode was great. BUT, like a previous parent stated, not made for short parents(I'm only 60 inches). I had to lower my seat just so I could touch the ground when it was installed. I can touch the ground when it's not installed because there's nothing in the center. Ended up getting a cramp in my butt and back of my thighs because the seat was too low and my knees were spread out farther than usual when I ride. Also, back muscles were strained from trying to keep from hunching over my son so I was extending my arms as far as I could. It probably would have gotten 4 or 5 stars if I were a taller person.

I am 5 feet and 2 inches tall. My daughter is 2 and 8 months old. This works very well for me and my daughter. After the unit is installed, I can still put tips of my both feet on ground at a stop while seating.

Also you get a free toddler white helmet which at a retail store is around 15 USD(same quality ).

5.0 out of 5 stars My one year old loves it!, December 2, 2008
This review is from: WeeRide Child Bike Seat (Colors May Vary) (Sports)
I love cycling and couldn't wait to get my daughter out with me. She absolutely loves sitting up the front of the bike on this seat. She thinks she's driving. It was easy to install and she sits quite comfortably in it. It took a little getting used to having her there for steering and dismounting but no more than the one time out in the park.

1.0 out of 5 stars disappointed, July 19, 2006
This review is from: WeeRide Child Bike Seat (Colors May Vary) (Sports)
I tried this seat and first of all, it took me 30+ minutes to get it attached to my bike. After all that hassle, I finally was able to ride with my son only to bang my knees on the bottom of the seat or hit my son's elbows. Needless to say, this seat is on the shelf and I am now using the iBert safe-T-seat.

I live in Miami and with the wheather like this, i really enjoy going around the beach with my son...
The only problem i found, it's the place for the foots: my son (20 month old) with a size 8 now are perfect but if you are 8 1/2 or 9, I think it won't fit.
Above all we love it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect! Best Price Anywhere!, October 1, 2008
This review is from: WeeRide Child Bike Seat (Colors May Vary) (Sports)
I ordered this from Wal-MArt online and they lost my order, so after anxiously waiting 2 weeks for it, I canceled my order with them and they refunded me the money. I was paying $97 for the same thing from them. Got it here for $64, plus a helmet, plus some gloves. My 20 month loves it. He is 22 lbs and very petite. The straps are little big, so I have plenty of room for his growth spurt! The helmet is super cheap quality...but who cares, you still cant beat the price for everything. Just get a better helmet:) It also comes with the bar to place it on the bike, as I was confused because the site said that other customers had bought the bar to attach the seat to. But its all there, together! I love having my son in front of me, I can talk to him, and hear him talk back. It does not get in the way of my legs at all, and I am a good size girl. I have a 26" bike from Wal-Mart, I am 5'4 and 175lbs! Just to give you an idea that it is perfect!
