4.0 out of 5 stars Worth the money
I think dollar to dollar this product can be the best value . Great blowing power and easy to follow directions and use. Only drawback istead of a triger for adjustable speed you have one button with two settings ( hi-lo ) .

3.0 out of 5 stars Weedeater Electric Blower
I have owned one of these for about three years and find the conversion from blower to mulcher to be awkward. It requires a tool to open the bottom hatch and the suction tubing is both hard to attach and remove. The tubing sections also have a tendency to separate. Suctioning debris requires one to stoop and the collection bag tends to sag or fall off of your shoulder...

I have owned one of these for about three years and find the conversion from blower to mulcher to be awkward. It requires a tool to open the bottom hatch and the suction tubing is both hard to attach and remove. The tubing sections also have a tendency to separate. Suctioning debris requires one to stoop and the collection bag tends to sag or fall off of your shoulder. It works well as a blower and I particularly like the optional gutter attachment. When used as a mulcher, it compacts the material very well but I think the comfort and convenience could use some redesign. The Black & Decker product line looks better to me although I have not used one.

5.0 out of 5 stars It's the best, October 17, 2006
This review is from: 12A Elec Blower/Vacuum
Have owned it for 3 years. It does the job very well. Never had a problem. Very easy to use. The guy who gave it 3 stars should read the owner manual. I use screw driver to help open the bottom hatch. I tried my car key to open and it worked too! I believe it's good design, otherwise you kid could be hurt if it's easy to open.

1.0 out of 5 stars Missing Parts!, July 29, 2008

I bought this from Polsteins Home & Beyond. Warning, beware! dont buy from Polsteins Home & Beyond!
The blower/vacuum is missing some parts. It only has the nozzle ends of the blower and the vacuum, it does NOT have the blower tube or the upper vacuum tube parts in the box. It is not useable without these parts. The tubes are required for connecting the nozzles to the power unit. The pictures of this product that I saw on Amazon, showed these parts, so I expect them to be part of the kit.
Polsteins replied: "the pictures are for illustration purposes only.
They are not included with the vaccum."
What kind of crazy reply is that? You cant trust the multiple enlarged views? Arnt they there so you can know what you are buying? DUH! It makes no sense to sell someone a blower/vacuum that just comes with the nozzle ends, and not the tubes that connect the nozzles to the power unit. There was no notification that in order to actually use the blower/vacuum, you will have to buy other parts. Don't you think that would have been a responsible thing to do? You've been warned!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Blower, March 28, 2009
This review is from: 12A Elec Blower/Vacuum
I have a lot of area to blow off each week when I cut/edge (corner lot, public sidewalks on both sides, driveway, my sidewalks, patio), and had gone through two Black & Decker blowers in five years. I picked this one up simply because it wasn't B&D, and am a huge fan. I've had it for three years and it's still going strong. It's much more powerful (ie. blows more) than the B&D's. I even use it to blow out my garage from time to time and pre-dry the car when I wash it. The only fault I have with it is there isn't a latch to hook the cord onto so the weight of the handing cord can cause it to come unplugged. A minor inconvenience to not replace your blower every couple of years in my opinion.

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant!, March 30, 2008
This review is from: 12A Elec Blower/Vacuum
This is the first Blower I've ever owned. Bought it to clean my gutters out with the 10ft extension which was hard work but worth it.

The blower is extremely powerful - using the attachment debris flew absolutely everywhere and made a clean gutter in no time at all. After that job was done, as we live in the woods I decided I try the vacuum out which is also brilliant. We had thick leaves built up and it made a meal of them. The mulcher is great too.

I went for this over a gas on the basis of wind speed and price. I think it's a bargain for both jobs.

Two slight downsides to this product. The suction pipe for me sometimes becomes loose but I think that was just me - keep an eye on that.

Secondly if you're using it to clean the gutters, I was up a ladder doing this and it is noisy when it's near you - some ear plugs wouldn't go a miss. Watch out if you're holding it near you too, I managed to get it sucking my clothes in :)

Don't forget to get a long extension chord too - I picked a 100ft from Home Depot for $14.

Overall a great buy for me!

5.0 out of 5 stars Best electric blower on the market, December 27, 2007

I wore out my first Weed Eater blower after 10 years of heavy use. I use it to blow dry my Harleys after washing besides using it for blowing off my decks and concrete driveway. I also own an electric Toro and compared to the Weed Eater it's a worthless POS. The exhaust nozzle has been redesigned from my older one, which is a good thing. Word of CAUTION !!! Do not wear jammy bottoms with the string ties hanging loosely in front, cuz this thang will suck them up into the blower motor faster than the dropping real estate prices in Baghdad.

Nice upgrade with the rocker-type on/off switch (use to be a slider that never worked smoothly - especially as it aged). It is excellent in all respects except that the two-piece vac tube continually comes apart while you're working. The tube seems to be more flimsy than it used to be. Other than the tube I'd give it five stars. I've been buying Weed Eater products since 1974 and haven't been disappointed except by a few little details. Incidentally, Weed Eater corporate headquarters is almost impossible to contact.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great Value, December 16, 2008
This review is from: 12A Elec Blower/Vacuum
I had my first unit for over five years of heavy use before thebearings began to sound like they might be going. I bought a second just to make sure that I have a backup. I especially find the gutter cleaning extension attachment to be a great product and it saves me hour on the ladder when the leaves fall. I'd recomment to anyone.
