A mixed bag,

I have two of these, both nearing their tenth birthday. One is branded as Craftsman, the other a reconditioned Weed Eater unit. The weak point on these is the pull start. On their best days, the pull rope is tough to use for a cold start. The cord retraction mechanism is balky and gets worse with age. That's the bad news. The good news is that the motor on these units is reliable. I've done minimal maintenance over the years, and they still run well. The carb adjustment screw (with a limter cap) does need to be adjusted between seasons. Performance is decent for the size and weight of the unit. This is NOT a machine that can move massive piles of leaves. It's good for blowing off driveways and paths. My wife likes it because it's lightweight, but I usually have to cold start them for her. Once warm, restarts are pretty easy. We work these machines pretty hard a few days a year. If I needed a unit that I was going to use several times a month, I'd look elsewhere. I also don't recommend these for someone who has any hand or arm strength limitations, as the starting can be a workout.

Nice little blower,

The pull cord was a bit sketchy at times but my husband starts it up and I use it. Tough cord to pull for certain people. Runs well for a inexpensive little blower. Light weight so you don't get your arms tired lugging around like other models.

I bought this thing like 7 years ago. A reconditioned model at that. I store it right and every year it starts fine, works fine. It was cheap, and does a fine job. I'd buy again.

Low end equipment,

I have personal experience with 3 of these - all poor. The first - pull rope failed to retract. I returned it and the replacement has been very dicey-the rope has again gotten stuck but luckily retracted with coaxing each time. I am sure it is a matter of time. This blower is hard to start , my wife hates that she can't start it. 3rd experience - my father in law bought one and threw it out because the pull rope stuck on him as well.
