No assembly is required with this blower. Simply take it out of the box and slide on one piece and you are ready to fill it with fuel and get started. It takes a mix of 2 cycle oil and gasoline. The first time I started mine it took about 7-8 pulls and now it usually starts after 1-2 pulls.

When you have it on full throttle this thing really blows. It has plenty of power for average home use and would probably be good enough for commercial use in my opinion. It has a speed adjustment that is nice so you can adjust to suit your needs or you can let it idle when you are carrying it from one location to another. It also has spring loaded handle that does a good job of reducing the vibration so your hands don't get that numb feeling from the vibration. It only weighs about 8 lbs. and it is comfortable to carry around.

I am very happy with this purchase!!!

Easy to use and straight forward design. I have the same engine in my weed whacker so it should last. Minimal assembly required and I thought it was a pleasant bonus that a bottle of oil came included. Only negative I might mention is that the shut off/throttle lever might seem delicate for someone that's heavy handed. Plenty of power and easy start up. Very happy.

Tip: make sure to use fuel stabilizer in your gas. These engines can gum up easily, especially when sitting over the winter.

This blwoer is worth the money. I first bought a homelite and was not happy. So I decided weedeater has been around for yrs and as a kid I had given some weedeater product H***, and still today they work. So I purchased this blower and I am not disapointed. It is dependable, easy to start and runs great. I would reconmend this blower to a friend!!

ran fine until gas tank got about one inch low at which time it would quit. After much trouble, I found out that the primer bubble was cross connected with the carb line and the primer return line only sticks down into the top of the fuel tank about one inch. At that level pressing the bubble would send bubbles of air instead of fuel. Once the lines slipped off and pressed onto the opposite little copper fittings the problem was cured..the carb was now getting fuel from the much lower in the tank filter.I guess a factory error.

My new Weed Eater FB25 is lighter than my last one,
is not as noisy, blows harder, and starts easier.

1.0 out of 5 stars Horrific purchase - BEWARE!!!, November 12, 2011

Purchased this over the summer... after 3 uses in the fall (for actual leaf blowing) the unit will no longer start.

While still under warranty, Weed Eater forces you to use one of their "authorized" service centers. I'm "lucky" enough to have 2 within 50 miles... however when those places couldn't see me for 4 weeks, Weed Eater would do nothing for me, no replacement, no exception to the "authorized" service center. Meaning I have to wait until there is snow on the ground to get my leaf blower fixed.

On top of that, Amazon will not allow you to return since its gas powered.

I could get it fixed elsewhere, but aside from money out of my pocket, I'm then voiding the warranty.

Aside from the poor quality of the product itself, the service from weed Eater was terrible, the gal on the phone just kept repeating her script, wouldn't make any other suggestions, wouldn't put me in touch with her supervisor.

Lesson learned: Don't buy Weed Eater products.

5.0 out of 5 stars Small But Gets It Done ..., October 23, 2010

This review is from: Weed Eater FB25 25cc 2 Stroke Gas Powered 170 MPH Blower (Lawn & Patio)
I bought the FB25 to replace a larger and more powerful Homelite 2-cycle blower/vac that went belly-up, from ethanol attacking the rubber seals in the fuel system, I believe. Anyway, I really have no need for the vacuum feature and falling leaves in the Fall that gather on the lawn are not a problem where I live, either. I just need to clear my driveway and street gutter after mowing of grass clippings and some few leaves that manage to land in those areas.

The FB25 is light-weight, hangs easily from your hand and points downward naturally. The handle intentionally flexes slightly during use but is held in place with springs on either side, a nice feature as it absorbs any twisting or torque from the blower fan (think shock-absorber). Assembly is dead easy -- it arrives in two pieces and the only thing you connect is the short blower tube that snaps easily into place on the main housing. In spite of its size and weight, it feels solid and well-made.

But the best part is that it seems to produce as much air with as much force as my now-defunct Homelite. It has no finger-held squeeze trigger, just a sliding speed handle on the top of the unit, which is nice because you can set it and forget it while you sweep an area. I kept mine at the lowest speed setting, which reduces noise but didn't seem to affect its ability to move grass clippings around. Its small size and light-weight allows quick maneuvering without causing any great stress on your wrist. I had no problem clearing my driveway of dirt and grass clippings deposited there by the mower.

Overall, knowing what I know now, I would buy it again.

1.0 out of 5 stars WEEDEATER FB25 BLOWS !!!, October 19, 2011
Amazon Verified Purchase(What's this?)
This review is from: Weed Eater FB25 25cc 2 Stroke Gas Powered 170 MPH Blower (Lawn & Patio)
After reading generally positive reviews on Amazon, I purchased this blower five months ago to replace a Ryobi blower that I owned for 8 years +.From the very beginning it was very tough to get it started usually requiring 8 to 10 pulls. Now it has started to die out after a couple of minutes of use. It looks like a carb adjustment needs to be made and it is being serviced under warranty but needless to say I am done with Weedeater products after this experience.

As a followup weedeater refused to honor their warranty. When i told them I planned to file a complaint with consumer protection they immediately hung up on me.Buyer Beware !!!

The weedeater arrived in a few days as advertized. Starts right up every time with 2 or 3 pulls max. I like the throttle control, makes it very easy to use. Light weight and ready to go out of the box. Add fuel and your off and running. Will sit on the floor and idle all day long. Not one problem. Great litte unit. It replaced as unit that I have used for 20 years..
