The Weed Thrasher is a low-quality product that does not deliver what it advertises. The nylon cutters wear down quickly, prompting you to install new ones far too frequently. I recommend reading the reviews listed for the Weed Thrasher unit. It is simply a waste of money.

These trimmers are the works I have ever used, the might last 4 minutes on thich grass, I will never buy theses again or suggest them to friends or enemies...

These were old and brittle wasted my money. Just go buy a new trimmer head. That is what i did.

this is the worst product i have ever seen, was a good thing i ordered several packs, because it took a whole pack of 20 weed thrashers just to weed eat around my house one time, they all break off in half after running the weed eater for about 90 seconds, so you are constantly having to stop and replace them. The material these things are made of is very cheap and they are also very hard to get on. Will never buy again.

These use to be a little more durable in the past than today's batch I used. I cut tall grass and in about 3-5 feet I need a new set. Love the design, hate the product presently. Tall grass shred these blades in seconds forcing me to replace the tips. Went through a whole pack with no obstacles in one afternoon, where it might have been 4-6 in the past. Hope they improve soon or I will be going back to fishing wire.

I have had these cutters for quite awhile. I reordered because I used up the last order. This product does a great job on all types of grasses and weeds. The only thing that I find doesn't work with these thrashers is stone walls! Our property is completely outlined with stone terracing. So I tend to break them fairly regularly. This said, I haven't had anything that works as well as these cutters. The last order from Amazon was more flexible than some of the previous cutters, which I got from a vendor that specializes in lawn and garden equipment. This makes them more forgiving around hard surfaces. Recently I had to cut a pathway through some hay. I did all the cutting without changing the cutters once. I had to stop because my weedeater over heated, but the cutters lasted over two hours without breaking. I'll be back for more when these wear down! Great product!

I've had the Weed Thrasher attachment for about 6 years. At first, the refills lasted a reasonable time...always being able to do my whole yard (1/2 acre) without having to replace the cutters. This included a lot of brickwork and fencing. I recently bought refills and they seem much more brittle than the ones I had before. Perhaps these are old stock, the plastic getting old, etc. They would not wear down, but break apart as soon as I hit something hard. At any rate....I was able to "refresh" the plastic by boiling them in water for about 10 minutes. This made the cutters much more "ply"able, and able to take the force of my brick retaining walls once again. You can feel the difference....more bendable, and able to put on and take off much easier because of the added "give" in the plastic. I did mine a few weeks ago, the they still have the flexbility when compared to the ones I didn't boil. They now wear down instead of break apart. Hope this helps solve some problems with people who may have gotten an old batch of cutters.

I went through a bag of Monster Cutters in one day. They kept snapping off. They would break off if they hit something hard.

The weed thrasher is an excellent product, lasting much longer than the traditional nylon strands. We began using the product about a year ago, when a local chain store began stocking the item. I am puzzled by the customer issues with breakage, as our experience has been that breakage occurs far less with these than the traditional nylon.
