I teach entrepreneurship to students at an alternative high school in SC. We view shark tank in class every Friday. The students have learned so much about so many topics that include: business pitch, equity, royalties, revenue, licensing, etc. The students are absolutely mesmerized by the show and are always looking forward to watching on Fridays. Most of the students frequently brainstorm product ideas and build prototypes to appear on the Shark Tank themselves one day.

This is a fantastic season, possibly the best of the four seasons, and is an awesome tool for teaching and learning about entrepreneurship and the US economy.

As an entrepreneur I enjoy watching this show and seeing what other people are doing and what the Sharks think.

My family rarely watches TV programs, but when my mom came to visit, she wanted us to watch Shark Tank with her. To my surprise, my husband, my three adult kids and myself loved the show. We had to watch more so we bought the series on Amazon.

Shark Tank is a great show, as a business owner it allows me to watch first hand other peoples mistakes, and learn from them. This show gives you an idea of what it is like to pitch in front of very wealthy and demanding investors. Unfortunately, most of the people that are chosen to be aired are chosen for ratings so there are alot of great business' that do not get a chance.

Absolutely love it and will continue to watch. Excellent preparatory ground for any entrepreneur selling any service or product. The panelists are impressive in quickly assessing the virtue and growth potential of any proven idea. Key word is proven. The investors rarely go for any investment unless the business has at least one year of proven operating results and healthy margins. Most important: know your numbers. Customer acquisition cost, customer drop off rate, production cost per unit, savings in margin if production could be scaled, wholesale price, retail price, competitors and market share. I am hooked.

There was a entire season of Shark Tank that had only 9 episodes and I felt cheated, but here we have 26 great episodes, filled with the usual infomercials, bizarre or clever inventions, and Sharks who either enrage the viewer - like Kevin, whose favorite comment is "You're dead to me" - or present an endearing self to the camera - like Robert, who seems warm and fuzzy, and clearly loves dogs. The Sharks not only insult the products and their hopeful inventors, but they go after each other. I'm sure it's an act, and they're probably going out to dinner in perfect amity after the taping. By now, entrepreneurs are well aware of the Shark Effect: even if they don't get a deal, the viewing audience of millions may include other investors eager to get on board, or consumers who want to try a product "As Seen On Shark Tank". It has gotten to the point where some of the entrepreneurs have their websites crash after being inundated with hits during and after the show, and I must confess that I have bought something simply because I saw it on the program and realized it would come in very handy. In fact, I think Amazon should sponsor this series, or offer to stream it for free, because it is drawing customers for the products!

I am a big fan of this show. As someone who dabbles in entrepreneurship, it is very fun to see so many other people with great ideas, and to see how those ideas are assessed by investors. This show is very much a 101 class for anyone interested in seeking money from venture capitalists. You can observe the 2 minute pitch from each client, and study the onslaught of questions that come from the sharks. Great show! The reason it doesn't have 5 stars is because I feel that the quality of the pitches are not consistent. It's clear that some clients are chosen simply because they have an entertaining story, and not because their business is invest-able. Also, the reasoning behind the shark's decisions to make an offer or decline can seem random sometimes. Overall, there is nothing else like this on TV.
