5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant - but not just for NT, April 17, 1999
By A Customer
This review is from: PC Week Programming Perl 5.0 Web Pages, with CD-ROM (PC Magazine (New York, N.Y.).) (Paperback)
I've never used perl on an NT but this is the book I learned from. Although it gets bad reviews here it is one of the easiest programming books I've ever read. One reviewer warns of mistakes but those mistakes are easy to see if you've ever programmed in any other language.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for anyone wanting to learn Perl for Windows, March 5, 1997
By A Customer
This review is from: PC Week Programming Perl 5.0 Web Pages, with CD-ROM (PC Magazine (New York, N.Y.).) (Paperback)
With so many books on the market right now dealing with Perl, most are designed for use on a UNIX platform. I had purchased several of these books trying to gain a better understanding of Perl. I was pleasantly surprised with the ease and understandability of the Perl language that this book offered. The book lists several real world scripts that every beginning webmaster, like myself, need. I would highly recommend this book as a great starting point for any beginner as well as a very usefull resource for the experienced Perl programmer

5.0 out of 5 stars Only book for NT and Perl, September 1, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: PC Week Programming Perl 5.0 Web Pages, with CD-ROM (PC Magazine (New York, N.Y.).) (Paperback)
This is the only book I've read that bridges the gap betwen the UNIX world of Perl and the Microsoft hell of NT. Not as indepth on CGI as I would have liked, but Perl explainations and examples are bang on.
