I really was pleased with the word family packets. I liked how they are set up by weeks and I plan on using them for homework packets for my special ed. students next year. All are beginning readers and this will help reinforce their sight word vocabulary.

I am a first grade teacher and was wondering how to help my students learn word families. I bought this book and use it along side other curriculum. I have found that once a word family is introduce my students can complete the pages from this book on their own. First we use the Smartboard to read the story and find any words that belong in the family together, then students are send to complete other word. Great supplement addition.
