From Library Journal
Both of these books have interesting and colorful step-by-step projects for decorating paper and using it for craft items. Browning (Handcrafted Journals, Albums, Scrapbooks, & More) uses handmade or purchased specialty papers for marbling, tie-dyeing, and other painting techniques. Projects for using the paper are suggested, but the emphasis is on decorating paper. Lee's projects include making paper from a variety of recycled materials as well as fashioning it into books and household decorations. Beginners may find Lee's general instructions for papermaking somewhat skimpy, although adequate for these projects, and may want to go on to consult a more complete guide such as John Plowman's The Craft of Handmade Paper (LJ 2/15/98). Both of these books are useful additions to public libraries needing more of this sort of material.
