Okayy so this album is by far the #1 album of the year! Each song on this album has such amazing lyrics and has such good rythm that it cant put you in a bad mood. I have been a fan of their since the very beginnging and I must say, even though this is the first part of a 3 EP series, this is probably my favorite cd they have recorded yet. Its like everytime you think they are really good - BAM! they do something amazingg! If not with the music, with themselves!. I mean have you listened to this? I play this album everyday before school, on the bus ride there/home and when I get home. When listening to the EP I feel like I can relate to every song and to me thats thats a good thing you want your audience to say. The one song I think that was very interesting/funny was Hawkbot. Its funny to me cause it brings out the "gangster side" jonathan and kyle have. ( yes I said kyle, if you notice he is in the song.) Even though its different from what they normaly put out still an amazing song. Evertime there name pops up on my ipod a smile comes on my face. These boys havent let me down once and I dont think they ever will. BUY THE EP!<3

In the past year, Forever The Sickest Kids, or FTSK for short, has become a common household name. Their last album, Underdog Alma Mater, brought fun pop-punk dance songs right into your living room, kitchen, car, iPod..pretty much anywhere as it was hard to get enough of.
The weekend: Friday doesn't disappoint! This follow up EP brings the same catchy powerpop we have come to expect from this band. With tracks like "What Do You Want From Me" or "She Likes (Bittersweet Love)", this isn't an album you can listen to sitting down. If this is Friday, I can't even imagine what is in store for the rest of the weekend when the EP's Saturday and Sunday are released!!

Forever the sickest kids EP "The weekend : friday" is indescribable. It has such a unique sound i have never heard in a band before its amazing. As a long time fan of forever the sickest kids i certainly have noticed that their music is ANYTHING but boring. They always like to mix it up and keep it fresh and they are never afraid to take chances. And they always end up with something amazing! In this EP most of the songs sound different from each other there's hip hop, rock, and pop. This is a good thing because it shows you that FTSK don't have to just stick to one style they are very versatile and no matter what genre of music they make it sounds awesome. With all of this they still have lyrics that have meaning in them. Most fun dance music doesn't have depth to it and most music with meaning and depth do not have a fun sound to them. Forever the sickest kids clearly has the best of both worlds. They are able to make an awesome song you can dance your butt off to at a party but when you hear the lyrics its something you can relate to and lyrics that inspire you. For example take it slow is something so many people can relate to basically its about a relationship problem because the girl wants to jump in everything too fast and the guy doesn't want to rush into everything. But at the same time with the depth of the lyrics its still has a sound that'll make you smile and a chorus you cant help but sing along to while blasting this song in the car "What did I do
Did I do
D-do this
To you"

Also Forever the sickest kids are more than just a band they are friends and it clearly shows through their music. I don't think forever the sickest kids were ever in it for the fame and fortune but for the sole purpose of their love for music and thats the reason why i love them so much.

I have known about Forever The Sickest kids for a while now, and I have always been a huge fan of their first album: "Underdog Alma Mater".
When I heard about "The Weekend: Friday" I was so happy that I would be hearing new music from them soon. And thanks to updates from the band via myspace & twitter etc, it made the wait even more exciting. I am relieved to say that it was definitely worth all of that waiting, because "The Weekend: Friday" is awesome!
I was hoping for the same type of music that was on Underdog, and luckily FTSK has kept that same style in this EP.
I also think it was a great choice, and really nice for them to think of their fans, when they decided to do 3 EP's instead of one album. This way we can hear more songs and not have to wait as long in between releases.
I'd give this album 5 stars, 10/10, it's 10000% awesome. I hope Forever The Sickest Kids come back to Australia soon so I can finally see them live!

So...ah.. I love Forever the Sickest Kids and when I heard that they had a new album out I was so stoked. I was so excited that I ran up and down and swung my arms all around and danced in such a fit of joy that would think I was a five year old. I had multiple kittens glued to my feet that night. And when it finally came out.... oh boy was I happy. The tracks on The Weekend: Friday are amazing. My personal favorite is Hip-Hop girl. I love it. It reminds me of how ghetto I think I am. Hawkbot is another pretttty awesome track too. Well, actually they're all really great. I would highly recommend purchasing your very own copy of this fine specimen of music. If not... well then go listen to lullabies, you baby.
