Great book for beginners!
My first quilting projects were from this book. It is very basic and the designs are pretty. It made me feel successful. The designs can be changed by using a variety of fabrics. My only criticism is that the yardage requirements are VERY generous. Always have fabric left over.

measurements off
Good ideas, but be careful and use some of your math skills. Some of the cutting measurements are off and I didn't realize it until I had already cut and started sewing. Wasted time and money.

Easy-to-follow instructions make this book great. Just watch out for the "Shadow quilt." I had trouble with the measurement of the pieces!

Quick and easy, these instructions will certainly help you get the tops sewed in a weekend, but hand quilting in a weekend? I don't think so. She has many errors (instructions and figures don't match, one time she gives a short cut that is great, the next pattern she doesn't but it's the same triangle piece) I could not find errata. I had to cut 33 9 patches AFTER I had pieced them to make them the correct dimensions. After one quilt, I have learned a lot. I would make more, but I do add binding (which she does not and doesn't even mention).
