Quick Quilting Ideas, October 18, 2005
This review is from: Weekend Quilter (Paperback)
This is a lovely book of ideas for small (often about 60" square), easily made quilts. The instructions and illustrations are clear and thorough. Some of the patterns are unusual with an oriental character and feature sashiko quilting, others are very traditional. Also included is information on dying your own fabric for a truly personal touch. While this may not be the book for everyone, it is probably a good investment for the quilter who is looking for inspiration and help. The projects can be done with a reasonable amount of time and effort. They are not the one-a-year, competition-style large quilt.

New ideas from British quilters, March 21, 2004
By A Customer
This review is from: Weekend Quilter (Paperback)
This book is a collection of relatively easy quilting projects from five different British quilters. I liked it a lot because the ideas and methods are somewhat different fromr those found in many U.S. quilting books. I'm not sure if I would make any of the quilts exactly as shown in the book (the directions are very good, so you could if you wanted to!), but I did get a lot of great new ideas for projects.
