A clever plot, the family reunion, and good character development make this an enjoyable and fast paced read.
I will be looking for other books from this new author

A family gathers in a posh California hotel, for what they believe will be a weekend of sun, fun, and catching up with long-lost family. What it turns out to be is anything but - full of secrets, lies, steamy sex and a murder mystery that will keep you guessing until almost the very end. Full of great, 3-D characters, fast paced action, with just enough erotica thrown in to keep it interesting.

There are a lot of characters in this book - you may need a scorecard to keep track at first, but soon they all become like friends, and you know their quirks enough to know who they are. And some people AREN'T what you believe them to be, which will totally throw you for a loop!

As the cover art suggests, this is a great book to read while sitting by the beach, by the pool, or while stuck at the airport. Heck, it's a great read anywhere!

I can't wait for her next one.

WEEKENDS is the perfect book to take along on a trip. The mystery will keep you on your toes and the romance will make you want to be one of the heroines in the book. I definitely recommend it

I'm glad I chose this book as the first novel to read after many years. The intricate and twist-filled plot drew me in right from the chilling prologue, and kept me turning the pages until the surprising and shocking ending. "WEEKENDS" has it all: edgy family drama, romance, steamy sex & exciting action sequences.

Weekends is a quick read - one of those books that you can take to the beach or on a long airplane flight and never put down. The story and characters draw you in so quickly and so imperceptibly that you'll probably finish the book in one sitting and still want more.

The characters in Weekends are fully drawn out, richly textured and completely dysfunctional. Sternberger also writes about Southern California and Hollywood with a sharp, penetrating eye and a detail that's grounded in the realism of an insider. For a first novel, this is an impressive piece of work.

Ms Hudis has a refreshing voice throughout this book. She caught my attention right from the first paragraph on the first page and kept me rivited and wanting more until the end.

I can't wait to read more from this author. If you like a book with a strong mystery, sexy romance and character that you can connect with then this book is for you.

Weekends is an easy read full of disfunctional, sexy characters. I found it hard to put down!

I have to be honest. This genre is not usually what I read. Lindy Hudis may have changed my reading habits with "Weekends". I was drawn into the story from page one and was amazed at how quickly I blazed through the book. Lindy Hudis is an amazing author who has a new fan for life!

Each of the extended family members attending a family reunion in sunny California have a story to tell. Things are heating up on the beach and in the hotel rooms, but it's not all sun and fun. There's a psycho on the loose and he's making his presence known at the Hotel Del Moor. They each become entwined in each other's lives as they band together to save each other from what's to come.

Weekends is a very extreme and intense story. With elements including rape, sexual, physical and emotional abuse as well as incest, it's gritty and even frightening and disturbing at times. To say that it's not for the faint of heart is an understatement. I felt the lack of birth control between the couples should have been addressed in some way, but other than that I found Weekends to be a very well written story with amazing characterization, riveting scenes and tender romances. I couldn't put it down.

This story kept me on the edge of my seat! I loved it! It was romantic, sexy, with a great murder mystery. If that is your cup of tea, then this book is for you.
