Beautifully built and works just fine. One recommendation is to buy LR44 replacement batteries on the internet rather than in a store. They are MUCH less expensive that way. The ball point refill looks like it would be easy to replace with a generic one.

After receiving the pen, I tried, without success, to get it to write. I took it apart and squezzed the ink catridge. After some ink leaked out of the base of the tip, the pen did begin to write.
Back together it has worked flawlessly. The light has made taking notes in a dark auditorium easy. The light is just bright enough to see with, but not enough to be an annnoyance to anyone sleeping during the lecture.

I've been though many night pens. I thought about designing one that does not have a loud click. This one is nearly silent - just what I need.

So I lay down at night and all of a sudden I remember everything I forgot during the day. Then I stay awake thinking, "I need to remember this tomorrow...I should get up and write it down, but then I'd have to get out of bed and turn on the light..." and so on. My husband saw this and bought it for me and I LOVE IT! I keep it on my night stand next to a little notebook and when things pop into my head, I grab my pen, turn on the light, write it down and sleep in peace! The pen itself is average, but the light is a perfect brightness of green.

Good night-writing pen... green led to preserve night vision.

Looks like the cartridges can be replaced easily...

Light can be turned on while cap is on if you want to use it as a little light... although the cap of one pen didn't stay on the tail very well, I don't usually use a cap at all.

This is so cheap with Prime free shipping that it's pretty much the way to go if you get your inspiration at night and need to jot something down ;)

Good glove box pen too for dark night navigation -- although if you're driving at night, pay attention to the road buddy!

I'd been looking for a pen that I could use when I wake up in the middle of the night with a great idea, yet I don't want to wake up my wife by turning on a light. The pen works perfect for this!

ok product, the batteries that come with it dont work, so you have to get new ones, nice light for writing in the dark, the pen it self is ok, could be better.

I do like this pen. It has 2 button cell batteries that produce a nice green glow. Things that could improve this pen would be to allow the clear cap to stick better to the butt end of the pen when writing. I find that the cap slips off when I am writing and it's difficult to find when dropped because it's clear. (So, now I just remove the cap when I'm using and place it somewhere I can find it.) Also, this pen has regular black ink, I would prefer the space pen type ink that can write at any angle. A note to future pen owners, you can access the ink and batteries from the same place at the butt end of the pen. Opening the light end of the pen can be tricky because of the springs in the barrell which turn the light on and off. The replacement ink cartridge is just the standard kind in a lot of freebie type pens, I do not believe a space type or parker type refill would fit, due to the way the pen is lighted in the inside. Overall though, I like having this lighted pen and keep it by my bedside table.

Not only is the price great with free shipping, but this pen is exactly what I needed. A pen that you can write with in the dark. Other pens are either too expensive or have too much of a light, this have a soft green light that allows you to make quick notes at night. The light is turned on by twisting the round thing above the ballpoint not by pressing the top tip as I had thought.

Purchased a few of these pens to be able to record test results while testing in the dark. Light works well, ball point pen works fair. Would give it a five star if the ball point pen worked better.
