I had a pair of these triangles about 9 years ago as a cadet that were fantastic. All the writing was stamped INTO the plastic, were "Made in Germany", and had centimeters along the long edge. These now have the writing just printed on the plastic which will wear off in a year or two of regular use aboard a commercial vessel, are apparently no longer made in Germany, and have inches and a 1:80,000 scale along the long edge. They're still OK and of decent build quality, but certainly not the type of product W&P was putting out not too long ago. A sign of the times I suppose and a bit disappointing.

Just giving you a heads up about the picture. The picture amazon has shows cm's on the side, but after I bought them, mine came with ranges set to 80000:1 scale. Just a word of caution.
