This review is from: Weems & Plath Marine Navigation Vectormaster Circular Slide Rule and Navigation Tool (Sports)
This device is very useful in a variety of marine navigation situations [listed below].
But that's hard to tell from the product image presented on Amazon.
That image shows only one side of the Vectormaster.

The side shown is a circular slide-rule set up for time/speed/distance calculations.
That's very useful, in and of itself.
But the Weems & Plath Navigational Nautical Slide Rule performs that function well at a 30% discount from the Vectormaster.

What distinguishes the Vectormaster is the other side of the device.
On that side you can:

-- translate between Mag and True bearings

-- translate between Relative and True bearings

-- use vector information to determine CPA of a radar or AIS contact

-- use vector information to determine true wind direction from apparent wind, COG, and SOG
[well, that may take some 'ooching' for current.]

All of this can be done from the cockpit, if you have the data there.
Of course, all of this can be done from the Nav-Station.

Seems clear to me that I need to post an image of the other side of the Vectormaster.

I'll do that.
