The package came in roughly about a week and a half with the free super saver shipping which was awesome. I was very excited to open it and give it a try. Upon first opening it, you will notice the machine is basically assembled for you. All you have to do is put in 3 bolts and a couple of pins to hold the pull up bar as well as the foot bar. Overall it took about 20 minutes. The actual instructions on how to use it are not very clear, although once you figure it out it really is very simple. My only complaint is that it states it is supposed to come with a workout poster full of the exercises but it does not but I was able to just google some Total Gym routines which are essentially the same exact thing. As some one who used to be a gym rat, I really enjoy this machine. Work and other responsibilities as well as membership costs brought me to purchase this item and I don't regret it at all. The workouts are very intense and you can definitely get a nice solid frame out of this. You won't become like Arnold or anything like that, but this can definitely get you in shape and along with proper diet have you looking good in the summer time. I will try to update my results as I continue to use it but overall very satisfied and shocked at the value I got with this purchase

This is truly an amazing piece of exercise equipment, especially for less than $150. It is extremely stable and well built. Don't waste your money on a Total Gym. This is just as nice if not nicer than the base model TG, and allows for more exercises. I don't think there's a single muscle you can't exercise with this. It seems pretty fun to use, which for me is VERY important. A few minutes a day should work wonders.

You need to have a good 8 foot of space to use this. It's narrow, only a couple of feet wide, but when extended it's over 7 foot long. I'm very pleased with this purchase. I only wish I had bought it years ago.

Full disclosure: I was not able to buy this from Amazon as I didn't have the cash to spare, so had to buy it from another retailer where I have credit; this same review is at the other retailer's site, should they approve it.

This machine is better than my basic Bowflex Power Pro hands down. With just 30 seconds between sets, it really gets the heart rate pumping much more than the same sets and timing using the Bowflex. I guess because the type of exercises is much more varied with this machine, such as rowing and even pull ups. And the 4 added resistance bands are a stroke of genius.

I also use it to stretch my troublesome lower and upper back and left shoulder out by inclining fully and just kind of hanging for a few seconds. It really helps my back being able to stretch it out so easily

I do have to mention that it is a louder than I thought it would be when gliding, but not enough to wake someone up. Also, you cannot disconnect the cable to do pull ups, etc, so you hear the handles or snap hooks hitting the metal base of the machine (I work out when I get home from work at night, so I just put a sweater over it so as not to wake up the family). I also work out during the day as well, each day a different body part, but with the added bonus of cardio and abs daily.

The build is better than I expected, but do make sure all your bolts are tight. The eye bolts that hold the 2 pulleys almost came off on me before I noticed it. So I tightened them up accordingly and keep a close eye on them and all other connections. Also, I would upgrade the hand grips to Bowflex hand grips, which are much easier on hands than the hard plastic grips that come with this otherwise excellent machine.

This appliance is great. It's a great rendition of a Total Gym knock off for such a lower price. I've had it for 8 months and it really has helped me increase my strength training and give me the total body workout I need without using a bunch of different appliances. Other customers are correct and the appliance does not come with a a exercise guide that is worth saving; it's on the box. As an alternative, I purchased the Total Gym Exercise Chart for $12 and you can do all of the exercises on the Weider machine.

If you are looking for a lower cost version of a total body workout, this is the way to go. Easy to assemble, very sturdy, and a great workout. I'm giving it 4 stars only because of the lack of exercise guides they provided.

I had actually picked up a used Total Gym System and found it to be very cumbersome to deal with as there were many moving parts and the bed completely comes off the rails so it was a pain to move around and I never used it because I dreaded the idea of having to lug it about and put it together and then attempt to carry it back to where I was storing it without the bed slipping off the rails again. I ended up re-selling it when I discovered this online through a different retailer for $125 (they no longer carry them unfortunately).

I already notice more definition in my arms and feel stronger in my upper body after just a couple short weeks of using it every other day on the second to lowest incline and am ready to move up a notch next week-and that's saying something as I'm pretty out of shape. There are only a couple of leg exercises that can be done on it with success, in my opinion; most notably the Leg Press (although I have to add all 4 bands for the Press to really feel it when using both legs-I suspect that will change as the incline gets higher) and the Abductor exercise (better than I expected). For more legwork, I instead get out to walk/jog every other day and incorporate squats and lunges as well. On a side note, I did just pick up a pair of ankle straps (from Amazon) to attach and use for Hamstring work (the handles detach).

One bonus I've noticed is that my core is engaged while using the machine as I try not to whip through any motions (which is easy to do with how smoothly the bed glides along the rails). Instead, I try and control my movement on it and do things a bit more slowly so the starts and finishes of any given set are not "jerky" or "bouncy".
