5.0 out of 5 stars Worth the "Weight", April 5, 2002

Good songs are hard, almost impossible, to find these days in the mainstream. "Good" means strong songwriting, creative musicianship, and production that doesn't overwhelm the artist. Ezra Thomas gives you all of that and more: songwriting with lyrics of substance. You will not be disappointed with the purchase of this CD (unless you are looking for reptitive, unoriginal, vacuous music). This is music that is compelling, intelligent and draws on a wide range of influences. I would rarely pass out 5 stars but this CD from ET deserves it.

5.0 out of 5 stars This band is going places, July 12, 2003

I saw this band perform at an in-store at Borders in Houston and was truely freaked by how much their music moved me. Their lyrics are thought provoking and the music is very smooth alt rock with a slash of folk. It is very emotionally moving and creates a good vibe of relaxation. Thumbs up to these guys. 5.0 out of 5 stars Hypnotizing Grooves and Melodic Vocals, March 20, 2002

Great album. Their best yet! Smooth Vocals and addictive melodies combine to create a CD that will become a permanent part of your collection once you listen to it. I have followed these guys's music for years and they never cease to amaze me with the quality of music they make. It just gets better every album unlike other one-hit wonders out there. There seems to be a shortage of quality musicians nowdays but these guys will endure for years to come with music this great.

4.0 out of 5 stars A great accomplishment!, March 8, 2002

There have only been a few artist that I have listened to, and knew that I would follow there work for many years to come, and this is one of them (others would be Indigo girls & Ben Harper). I found them on IUMA and fell in love with the songs, "Where I am" and "Stereo"! I bought the CD and was surprised to find that almost every song grabbed me and took me to the same place these songs did.
The only reason I gave a 4, instead of a 5, is because there is one song, I won't point out, that sounds like it was put on the album, just because someone thought it was "commercial"!.. If I know these guys from the quality of the rest of the CD, this track was most likely voted on by a manager, producer or Label ...I don't know ...but, the rest of the CD is definitely a 5!
