Justin Toner is a registered Clinical Hypnotherapist, psychotherapist and NLP practitioner who has been working many years as a professional clinical health therapist. He has helped hundreds of people overcome a wide range of problems ranging from depression, fears/phobias, stress/anxiety, confidence issues and a whole array of health related problems but he is particularly interested in the area of weight control along with creating self-help solutions.

He dedicated years researching, studying and experimenting with the most effective methods of how to attain a state of optimal health. His keen interest in nutrition, energy therapies along with his knowledge of the how the mind works encouraged him to develop his unique Mind & Body approach to losing weight and improving health.

He decided to name this system The Opal Method after the name of his private practice. What makes this approach different is that it simplifies what was once thought of as esoteric knowledge and he put it into an easy to understand method with simple steps to follow so that the techniques from this method can be used and experienced by all who avail of them.

Justin currently lives and works in Ireland where he runs his private practice, The Opal Hypnosis Centre. He continues on his aim to create more solutions to the health problems (both physical & mental) that too many people are faced with on a daily basis.

This is a very short book. The mind/body stuff is okay, but the rest of the material is questionable in my opinion. The author loses credibility when he actually writes that green, leafy vegetables (such as lettuce, spinach, parsley and coriander) are a fantastic source of protein. Protein? Really? These items have so small a trace amount of protein that it is rounded down to zero.

The morning smoothie he recommends is very high in fructose which causes weight gain and other negative effects in most people. I also think his water recommendations are too high for most people. While some people don't drink enough, it is also very possible to drink too much water and thereby stress your kidneys.

I thought this kindle was excellent value, for health reasons I need to keep an eye on my weight and found this a helpful aid, It's interesting his name is Toner, cause that's how i ended up being !!

Good advice and plenty of tips to shift unwanted weight. Have followed some of the tips and am looking forward to trying out the remaining techniques suggested. Great value for the advice given! Will definitely be altering my current lifestyle for the better.

The book deals with, amongst other things, the psychology behind poor eating habits and now that I am more aware of the reasons that bad foods seem so appealing, I have found it much easier to avoid them and choose the healthier option instead.

A life-changing purchase!

A sensible, informative approach to healthy eating and weight loss. Excellent advice on how to look after both your body and mind. Short, but to the point. Here's to a healthier and more positive approach to life. Definitely recommended.
