Weight training can be dangerous if you don't know what you're doing. That's why this book by Mr Rosel has my personal recommendation. It emphasizes proper preparation and warm-up and then tells and shows you how to do this.
The book outlines the best equipment to use, a detailed explanation on the muscles groups and how best to train them with the correct techniques. Also covered are the difference between strength and endurance exercises, how often to train and how many reps are necessary.

There is also a chapter detailing the exercises with colored illustrations.

Weight training is important for females as well as males. There's no need to worry about building large muscles, unless we take illegal substances! Weight training for females will give you an attractive sculpted shape, not to mention strong bones.

I also liked the resources section at the end. Most weight training books I have read don't address these issues. You can also sign up for a free weight training demo video. Go get this!

This weight training book is worth the read no matter what your age or sex. I like how this book doesn't assume you're a young male. So many weight training books are geared to this age group.

As an older woman, I'm concerned about aging arms. I want to wear sleeveless tops and sundresses and not be embarassed by weak and sagging muscles. Yes, some of we older woman really do worry about this.

All the basics of weight training are fully explained and after reading this book, I've been inspired to try some weight training for arms. I'm looking forward to this new (to me) type of exercise.

That's a great resource if you want to work on your biceps and triceps. The author explains what equipment is necessary and how to train your biceps and triceps correctly and safely. Plus you get advice on weight loss too. Can't go wrong with this book!
