4.0 out of 5 stars Like this scale
I am very happy with this scale. I didn't really want one with a clear glass platform, but couldn't find anything I liked the looks of, so went with this. Now I love how it looks on my ceramic-tiled floor. But the important thing is how it weighs. I think it's very good. For all I know, it could be a pound or two off, but does that really matter? All I care about is...

1.0 out of 5 stars defective product
Weight Watcher Scale by Conair WW39 Digital Glass ScaleYour suppose to tap the scale on the top, wait for it to stop flashing then step on. You have to lift the front edge of this one up a quarter inch and let it drop to the floor to get it started. I'd return it but my wife doesn't want to wait for another! I'm sure it's a fluke, but I'm sure not satified with it.

All I care about is whether the numbers go down (yea!) or up (boo hoo!). I'm not going to drive myself nuts getting on and off every 5 minutes like some people seem to do. I do, however, always weigh, step off, then weigh again (just my own quirk), and the weight is always exactly the same. I feel confident using it. So I think it functions just as it should and it looks great and the price was certainly right (saw this exact model in a store right after I ordered from Amazon, and it was $8 more, plus tax). The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because of the stupid sticker that comes on it. As others have mentioned, there is a large, very hard-to-remove red sticker showing where you "tap" the scale (the middle of the glass platform) to turn it on. No matter how I tap, the scale does NOT turn on. Instead, I stick one toe under a corner, slightly lift the scale up, let it set back down on the floor and it comes on. Don't let this deter you. It's kind of ridiculous, but no big deal. Overall, I am VERY happy with this scale.

5.0 out of 5 stars sleek and efficient, August 23, 2007

not only does this scale look ultra cool, it is super easy to use...no setting dials or switches. Just set it on the floor, wait for the zeros to pop up and step on up to get a fantastically easy to read weight. Love it!

1.0 out of 5 stars Quit working, January 7, 2008
This review is from: Weight Watcher Scale by Conair WW39 Digital Glass Scale (Health and Beauty)
Received this for Christmas. Worked great for 3 days. Then after tapping on scale, waiting for the 00.0 to pop up and stepping on for the weight, it shuts off instead of displaying weight. Spent $4 on batteries and the same thing keeps happening.

5.0 out of 5 stars Right on the money...or should I say pound., June 3, 2008
This review is from: Weight Watcher Scale by Conair WW39 Digital Glass Scale (Health and Beauty)
I don't have a weight problem...never have...so I only know about what I weigh. My husband on the other hand likes to keep an eye on his weight so he would weigh at work. Now I have to keep an eye on our son's weight per doctor's orders. So this is the 1st set of scales to come into our house and according to my husband it is right to the lb with the scales he uses at work.

I don't know why some reviewer's talk like they have to stomp on the thing to get it to work. I just lightly tap my foot in the center (that's how you turn it on). Weight comes up fast which is nice when you are weighing a 2 year old.

I'd recommend it. Sleek looking too!

1.0 out of 5 stars Disappointed, January 13, 2009
This review is from: Weight Watcher Scale by Conair WW39 Digital Glass Scale (Health and Beauty)
The scale simply didn't work!
Had several people attempt to try it to no avail.
It happens.
I returned it - lost a few bucks however what can you do?!
So, yes, I was disappointed for the first time with Amazon.
Otherwise - I love using them for almost all products.

1.0 out of 5 stars Dead on Arrival!, January 8, 2009
This review is from: Weight Watcher Scale by Conair WW39 Digital Glass Scale (Health and Beauty)
These scales looked nice enough when I took them out of the packaging. However, after sorting out the batteries as advised, I was never able to get them to work, no matter how hard we 'tapped' or lifted them!

Very difficult to use. Had to pick it up and put it down on the floor each time before using it. Returned using Amazon's generous 30-day guarantee policy.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice looking scales, August 23, 2007
This review is from: Weight Watcher Scale by Conair WW39 Digital Glass Scale (Health and Beauty)
they are very nice looking, they also show the exact weight, however it needs to be kicked a little bit to start working and not just tap on then how it's labeled. So if you dont' mind every time kicking it, they are great.

Have had this scale for only a few days - tested accuracy by stepping on and off a few times - same reading as long as feet are placed in the same area - if not - you may lose a pound or two (good for the ego). Have found a toe lift works better than the tap feature to get it going - one little lift - no problem (does not require a huge, strong toe to do this -very light-weight scale).
