Very Inspiring, March 25, 2005
This review is from: Weight Watchersï¿1/2 Tools For Living Companion : 8 Ways to Get What You Want (Weight Watchers) (Paperback)
I joined Weight Watchers 5 months ago and I've lost 25 pounds. Now I've hit a plateau and am feeling very discouraged - especially since I have 100 more pounds to go! I bought this book out of desperation, and it has truly helped me. In plain language, it breaks down eight tools for living the life you desire and achieving your goals: winning outcomes, empowering beliefs, anchoring, storyboarding, mental rehearsing, motivating strategy, reframing, and positive self talking. (Now, if they'd just come out with this book on tape, I could listen to it when I workout.) Now, I'm able to look at my behaviors and see where I can make changes. So, if you're struggling, get this little book and don't give up!
UPDATE: 7/23/06 - 35 pounds lost! I went through a long period with no weight loss, and it was depressing. But I didn't give up on myself. (And don't you either!) So, I'm still a Weight Watcher (always counting those points), and I still refer to the "8 Tools for Living" when I'm feeling stressed about the progess of my weight loss. I just keep in mind that everyday I am getting fitter and feeling stronger, and each hurdle I overcome is a step closer to achieving my goals.
UPDATE: 10/25/06 - 52 pounds lost.
UPDATE: 12/07/10 - Maintaining a 70 pound weight loss. :-) Woohoo!

Great Book, March 1, 2006
This review is from: Weight Watchersï¿1/2 Tools For Living Companion : 8 Ways to Get What You Want (Weight Watchers) (Paperback)
The book went deeper into each step of the tools for living. It gives great steps for the 8 ways to get what you want from weight watchers. The book is a good size to put in your carry on when you travel.

Handy, Not necessary, January 9, 2007
This review is from: Weight Watchersï¿1/2 Tools For Living Companion : 8 Ways to Get What You Want (Weight Watchers) (Paperback)
Weight Watcher Tools for Living Companion is a handy reference for members. The information it contains, however, is usually discussed at meetings so it really isn't imperative that you own one. I like it because it refreshes my memory about thr tools. It is easy to read.
