I've been on Weight Watchers since the end of Oct 2005 and have successfully lost 56 lbs so far. Sometimes it's hard to find good, healthy recipes that my non-WW'er husband (who is also a picky eater) will enjoy, too.
My mom bought me this cookbook for my birthday and so far we have tried out a couple recipes already. There are so many recipes in this cookbook that even picky eaters will enjoy! I love the fact that not only are points listed on each recipe, but also the nutritional value per serving. And core recipes are indicated, also! I believe this cookbook is useful for any person who wants to cook healthy recipes - whether they are on Weight Watchers or not!

This is an excellent cookbook. I did hours of research both online and at the bookstores looking at Weight Watchers cookbooks. I wanted one that had a lot of regular recipies and common dishes my family would eat. It also has some different things to try. But great for staples like bread, pizza crusts, beef dishes, desserts. Would recommend this book.

Delicious but high in points.,

I am a returning Weight Watchers member and recently purchased this book. I love the recipes that I have tried so far; they have reinvented a lot of favorites like Spaghetti and Meatballs and Corn Chowder. The only thing that is dissapointing is that if you want a good amount to eat it will cost you big points. For example: the Corn Chowder is 4 points a serving, serving size being 1/4 cup. 1/4 cup is not enough for me to enjoy the soup I just labored over for a hour. All the recipes I have reviewed in this book are like that, little serving for major points, so if you don't have a high point range, I wouldn't recommend this particular cook book from Weight Watchers. Also, in regards to a previous post about the serving sizes, all the recipes DO have the serving size including for soup. The serving size is the first thing listed after the recipe near the Nutrition Information, which I found helpful, so that I didn't have to measure the whole completed recipe before eating.

WW Does it Again!!,

I've only had this book a short while but I feel
it was money well spent. Although it could have more color photos and I wish it wasn't ring bound, the overall format is great and I just love the helpful information boxes, such as food safety tips, food storage, etc. It also contains a superabundance of recipes, sure to keep you from getting bored. The color icons make it a snap to spot recipes that are 20 minutes or less, 5 pts or under, etc. I have 12 WW cookbooks already and I am glad that I added this one to my collection.

Excellent Cookbook ~ Not Just for Weight Watchers!,
By
This review is from: Weight Watchers New Complete Cookbook: CUSTOM (Hardcover)
This book is absolutely loaded with FANTASTIC recipes! Easy to attain ingredients and clear precise cooking/baking instructions. Runs the gamut from Stocks and Sauces to Holiday Baking Around the World! If you're looking for low-fat, easy to prepare salad dressings (because if you're like me you eat lots of salads and always looking to jazz them up) look no further...and no bland oil and vinegar only ingredients (even a low-fat blue cheese recipe)! Also included are healthy choice Vegetarian Recipes, Breads and Baked goods to beat the band...even pasta and PIZZA!
This wonderfully complete cookbook also includes loads of TIPS from Smart Snacking to picking out Fresh Fish to a Meat Primer, etc., etc., etc.! Incredible book for those watching their weight or NOT! The only drawback is that if you like photos of the recipes you are going to make...you will be disappointed there; there are NONE except on the title page of each section. Otherwise, I HIGHLY RECOMMEND this fabulous cookbook based on it's recipes alone!

I was excited to get this book, as Weight Watchers' Take-Out Tonight is one of my favorites, and many recipes I have gotten from the WW website are really good. However, the recipes here were not good--I have tried several and all of them have been passable at best.
None have been awful, but the flavors are off--for instance, with the Bow Ties with Asparagus and Salmon, the combination of sour cream, mustard, and white wine (all things I love by the way) came off as too sour/acidic. The Scallops with Parsley-Brandy Pesto, which sounded wonderful, didn't taste that great and the pesto overpowered, rather than complemented, the scallops. On the plus side, the range of recipes is huge and the ring binding is nice. I'll keep trying and hopefully will find something I'd make again.

Weight Watchers Cookbook,

This cookbook was easy to understand and well organized. There are different categories of cooking and a wide variety within each category. All the recipes are low in points and many have a generous serving size. I found this book very helpful around the holidays for appetizer and dessert ideas. If you are on Weight Watchers or have friends that are on Weight Watchers or just like to cook with less fat and calories this would be a great gift to share with them. There is a great recipe for Roasted Red Pepper dip that works well with vegetables, tortillas or as a delicious spread on a sandwich.
The design of the actual binder could stand to be improved in the sense that there is no folder within it to store other recipes that you may collect. The binder is also not standard size so you can't add anything else to it. The content is wonderful and it is definately a good buy.

This is like the "new" Betty Crocker cookbook for the new millineum. Healthy, tasty ideas and recipes. Love the spiral pages. Easy to read and would definetly recommend this book.

This book has great recipes and a nice mix of flex and core. I have made more than 10 of the recipes and they were easy to follow with good explanations and mostly easy to find ingredients. I recommend highly even if you own other WW cookbooks!

Grab your sticky notes and get ready to find some great recipes. I've been using this cookbook for about 6 weeks now and my family and I love it! My daughter and I are on weight watchers and she credits this book in part to her weight loss. She especially loves the way I cook from it. Each Saturday I sit down with this and another WW cookbook and write up the weeks menus and grocery list. Then every day I can tell her how many points we will be having for supper. We can also look at our week's activities and schedule the meals (and points) accordingly. The pot roast is a favorite (it adds a little burgundy and new spices to the usual recipe) but we have tried many many other recipes - most with great success. I also like the spiral binding and the pages that wipe off easily. This has become a favorite cookbook for us.
