4.0 out of 5 stars Accurate, consistent, clean looks, easy to read, weighs in 1/10 lb increments
We bought this digital scale to replace our analog scale thinking it would be easier to read and prettier to look at. It is both. It gives consistent readings to the tenth of a pound, meaning that it gives the exact same reading if I step off and back on a few minutes apart. I weighed our two cats (10.2 lbs and 10.7 lbs) and found that if weigh myself holding a cat, it...

1.0 out of 5 stars Not accurate
Perhaps we just got a defective one, but I bought this because it weighs to the .1 pound and had great reviews. This scale is weighing anywhere from 1 pound to 2 pounds too light, compared to the official scale from our Weight Watchers meeting. That's great if you want to feel better about yourself but we are using it for a wrestler so it is a disaster.

4.0 out of 5 stars Accurate, consistent, clean looks, easy to read, weighs in 1/10 lb increments, October 16, 2007
This review is from: Weight Watchers WW34D Glass Precision Electronic Scale (Health and Beauty)
We bought this digital scale to replace our analog scale thinking it would be easier to read and prettier to look at. It is both. It gives consistent readings to the tenth of a pound, meaning that it gives the exact same reading if I step off and back on a few minutes apart. I weighed our two cats (10.2 lbs and 10.7 lbs) and found that if weigh myself holding a cat, it displays the exact sum of our individual weights. My weight is consistent with our old scale, except that this scale gives a much more precise reading.

To use the scale, you must first tap it with your foot and wait two or three seconds for it to display 0.0. If you skip this part, it displays "Err" until you step off. This is of course different from a traditional scale, but it took only a few uses for it to become habit. It might be nicer if the toe tap wasn't required, and I deducted a star for that, but we wouldn't trade it back for an analog scale. Perhaps the tap is required to extend the battery life and/or to calibrate the scale to exact zero. There may be other digital scales that don't require the tap, but it really isn't that big of a deal for us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Finally found a reliable scale, April 26, 2009
This review is from: Weight Watchers WW34D Glass Precision Electronic Scale (Health and Beauty)
I found a web site where Prevention Magazine had rated different scales. This scale had the best result for the lowest price of the group tested. I then read the reviews on Amazon.com. Even though a few of the reviews were negative, the bulk of the reviews were very positive - so I bought it.

This is the 5th different scale I have purchased in the last 10 years. It is also the first truly reliable scale I have ever owned. My weight finally shows that my weight went up instead of down after a meal and down instead of up after a workout. The fact that weight is displayed in tenths of a pound allows me to see the effect of things I do during the day.

I bought this product because my son is a wrestler and we need to know his EXACT weight to the 1/10 of a pound. This scale does it and the readings are always exactly the same as the $500 scale they use at school to weigh him. I am VERY happy w/ this purchase!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great scale, December 28, 2007

These scales were sold on promotional display at our grocery store a year or so ago and I purchased one for myself. Since that time everyone who visits our house wants to know where to get one of these scales. However, I haven't been able to find them locally again. I got two more as Christmas gifts for family members that really wanted one. The order arrived the next day even though I selected two day shipping. Pretty impressive. The scale has been great for me. It weighs to the tenth of a pound (or you can change it to kg).

This is just what I was looking for. As a lifetime weightwatcher member this is perfect to help me keep on track. I love the fact that it gives you your weight in .1 lb increments. Does not have all of the memory features of some of the more expensive models, but I didn't need that. Also works good for someone who is larger and needs the ability to be able to weigh accurately as some scales fault at higher weights. I would highly recommend this scale.

I finally replaced my spring scale with this one. The WW34 is way way more accurate, repeatable, and all those things a scale should be.

Dang

Now I know how much way too many things weigh. I weighed myself a few times, it kept repeating the same measurement. That couldn't be true! Shoes. OK. A few repeats with and without holding the shoes. Sweatshirt, jeans ... maybe it's that cup of coffee, how much did I add there ...

You get the idea. It repeated all those measurements.

Now I can't blame the scale.

At least it looks good sitting there on the floor.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Most Reliable Scale That I've Ever Used, September 12, 2008

Over the years, my family has purchased three bathroom scales that never consistently told us our correct weights. It was extremely frustrating to step on a scale one minute and see a weight and then step on the same scale the next minute and see a weight that was completely different. I wanted to accurately track my progress as I was getting healthy, so I needed a scale that would be dependable and would not make me angry and upset. This scale has not dissapointed me yet because, as opposed to the other scales that I've used, the readings are consistent, it is well constructed, and it matches any bathroom decor because of its predominantly clear base. I have made an investment in my house and an investment in my life by purchasing this aesthetically pleasing and dependable scale.

5.0 out of 5 stars Very good scale, June 30, 2008

The scale matches up with the scale at my doctors office. My old analog scale lied to me and showed about 3lbs less. Sometimes it's nice to be lied to. sigh. lol. I really like that the scale gives your weight to the tenth as well, so you can track even small losses.

I really have no complaints about it. I don't have to kick it to turn it on either. All i do is step onto it with one foot then step off. It takes about 2 seconds for it to read 0 so i can step on it again to get my weight. It's really not a big enough inconvenience to even complain. Overall the scale serves its purpose, and i would recommend it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Useful Digital Scale, May 10, 2009

This digital scale has been helpful in measuring small increments of weight in U.S. measure as well as metrics. This is important when you're trying to monitor weight loss and difficult to determine on an old fashion type scale. There is no problem in tapping the sensor with the foot to turn it on. The numbers are large and clear enough for easy reading. We also found it very useful in measuring luggage in order to keep within the strict weight limitations for airline travel.
