4.0 out of 5 stars Good scale!
I recently bought this scale, and I think it's a great investment! The weight on it is accurate, and it allows you to both set a weight goal, and track it as you're losing.

2.0 out of 5 stars It Quit Working After One Year's Use...
I bought this scale and it quit working after one year.

Now, it states 384.10 lbs. for anyone who tries to use it. (the scale is supposed to go only to 380 lbs. Disappointing.)

I liked how it could track weight-loss/gain progress for two different people and how it informed the users if they were leaning in any direction while standing on it. Large...

I recently bought this scale, and I think it's a great investment! The weight on it is accurate, and it allows you to both set a weight goal, and track it as you're losing.

To the reviewers who complained that you can't set your own weight goal, you can. When you set up your user number, it automatically gives you a goal weight (10%). Per the instruction booklet, you can then use the P1 and P2 buttons to raise and lower that number.

Another great feature is the center balance. If you step on a scale and aren't centered, the weight can change greatly. On this scale, before your weight pops up, there are lines going across it. The side the lines are pointing to is the side with too much weight on it. If you see a small dot in the center, then you're standing on it correctly, and your weight will be accurate.

Of course, other than the user settings, it is still an average scale, for someone who is interested in just getting their weight. I definitely think it's worth-while.

I just got the WW60 and for the goal weight, you cannot enter your goal...the scale automatically sets it at 10% of your present weight. I don't like this part of the scale, but other than that, it is very good.

We've had it since Friday and I have been going to meetings at Weight Watchers. I compared my weigh ins, of course there is a slight difference because I weighed myself at home at 7:30 in the morning and went to a meeting at 12PM...but I have found it to be quite accurate and I love the way it tracks the weight.

It was a little difficult at first to understand the directions for how to get started...I had to try it 3-4 times. But now that it's set up, it's great! I love that it tracks 2 people and gives the deltas between your start weight, current weight and last weight; then finally gives you how many more pounds until your goal weight. However, the question I have is, how does it know how tall you are in order to calculate your goal weight?

5.0 out of 5 stars Yes you can set weight goal, January 11, 2006

I just purchased the scale. To set your weight goal.

1. Press SET

2. Press 1/2/3/4 (user #) and hold it for a sec

3. Wait till scale shows 0.0

4. Step on. This will be your initial weight

5. Press SET to save it when you get off

6. Now you will see your goal weight which is 90% of initial

7. Press 1 to increase, 2 to decrease in 1 lb increments

8. Press SET when you are ready to save it.

This is CLEARLY explained in the manual which is all of 2 pages long.

Yes I like the scale too. I get under 1lb variation between succesive measurements which is pretty good compared to my old clunker which varied by alot.

Large display numbers.

When the scale was working, it was slow to start itself up. I'd tap on it to start it up and would wait 10 seconds before it would allow me to step on.

02/20/07 UPDATE: I purchased a different WW scale and have found that it too has the annoying habit of memorizing your current weight if you immediately re-weigh yourself. It's a built-in programming "hack" intended to falsely promote the scale's accuracy by covering up its inaccurate weighing capability. Without this hack, you'd get a different weight everytime you used it.

I love the Weight Watcher's program but I will buy a different brand of scale next time. As other reviewers have stated, they are hard to start up (tap hard), they are cheaply made with plastic and make a lot of creaking noise when stepped on. I took my broken one apart to see how it was made; I was not impressed.

I bought this product when I needed to replace my old, simple bath scale. I didn't really want anything fancy, just simple, accurate weight checks. When I received this scale, it was just a matter of open box, place on floor and use. Didn't have to put in batteries, set scale or anything...just open and go. However, over a few weeks, I noticed a swing in range...sometimes heavy, more often very light. Most recently, in preparation for doctor visit, I stepped on the scale immediately after rising. THere was a 6 lb loss from the previous day, not a likely occurance. At the clinic a couple hours later, their scales weighed me in at 5 lbs heavier than the home scale. Immediately on arriving home, I rechecked my home scale just to have it show a 4 lb increase over the clinic. In total, the home scale swung differently by 10 lbs over an appr. 3 hr period. This is not what I would call an accurate bath scale. I would not recommend this product to anyone, and am in process of finding a replacement.

5.0 out of 5 stars An accurate scale, June 17, 2006
This review is from: Weight Watchers WW60X Weight Tracking Scale (Health and Beauty)
This scale is highly accurate. Some people complain that you will get a different reading everytime. Reasons: 1. they are not balanced correctly on the scale. The scale displays arrows so that you know which way to correct your balance. As for those people saying they get a different result during the day, the average person ways 2-5 lbs heavier at night. Why? Because, you eat and drink during the day. You can actually weigh lighter at night if you just had a good cardio work out due to all the water loss.

I highly recommend this product. It gives me accurate results so I can gauge my progress. Remember though, measurements are a better gauge for results

2.0 out of 5 stars Could be better..., May 27, 2007
This review is from: Weight Watchers WW60X Weight Tracking Scale (Health and Beauty)
I bought this scale a year ago and am now looking for another one because this one no longer works. In the begining it was great and gave me readings very close to what I was getting at WW meetings. I have a 16 yr old son and he was getting the 10lb differences overnight on it and has complained since we got it. Now the little rubber things on the bottom that center it have started coming off and the scale refuses to zero. Or it zeros then refuses to weigh you! It's kind of silly that the rubber things are stacked instead of solid so you might loose one and not know it. Also they should be longer or sturdier so that the scale stays balanced.

5.0 out of 5 stars WW Tracking Scale, January 25, 2007

I like this scale. It does take some getting used to exactly where to position your body to get an accurate weight but once you figure it out it's great. I love that it tracks my weight loss, it's validating (as long as the weight is going down) and it was a great new years resolution scale.

5.0 out of 5 stars YOU CAN SET YOUR WEIGHT GOAL, February 17, 2007
This review is from: Weight Watchers WW60X Weight Tracking Scale (Health and Beauty)
I think half of the reviews I've read are RIDICULOUS. READ THE DARN INSTRUCTION MANUAL. When it your 10% goal weight pops up, use the user buttons to go up and down to set it to your ACTUAL goal weight. Don't review an item badly when you were too stupid to read the directions correctly!!!
