Take a walk with weight watchers!
3 complete fitness walking workouts on one audio cassette.
Listen while you walk!
Whether you're new to fitness walking or an experienced walker, let "Weight Watchers Walk!" give you a workout that's sensible, safe and enjoyable. Regular fitness walking can produce the same calorie burning and health benefits as running -- you just need to walk longer, and more often. Developed in association with Weight Watchers exercise physiologists, "Weight Watchers Walk!" will provide you with the guidance and assurance that most of us need to help keep pace with our fitness goals.
Filled with tips on form, focus and technique, and set to a lively, original music score, "Weight Watchers Walk!" offers you the choice of three complete walking workouts -- a 30-minute beginner's walk, a 30-minute intermediate walk, or the more vigorous 46-minute expanded version -- all designed to help you set your own pace. With each walking workout, you'll also be guided through a warm-up and cool-down, as well as gentle, relaxing stretches illustrated in the enclosed booklet.
Take Weight Watchers along the next time you step out -- and start charting your personal path to fitness the fun way.

5.0 out of 5 stars A plain old good walk, July 24, 2000
By A Customer
This review is from: Weight Watchers Walk (Audio Cassette)
I own entirely too many walking tapes, but this one is a find. Good pace, original music which is not repetitive, excellent warm up and cool down section. Tape gives you the option of two 30-minute sessions or one 46-minute session. There is an instructor assisting you with warm up and cool down exercises and the occasional reminder of proper walking technique, breathing, etc. These instructions are not "invasive" as the instructor's voice is pleasant and the interruption is brief (some other tapes I have include the ramblings of slightly condescending instructors with annoying voices). All in all, a good walking work-out.

1.0 out of 5 stars If you have never walked before...., September 20, 2000

then you might like this tape. However, if you actually like a beat in your music...run the other direction. I would recommend this to someone who has never owned a walkman and gone on an exercise walking workout. The music is from most elevator soundtracks....I would describe it as listening to a Michael Bolton cd. I have to admit that I was really in shock with the slow-jazziness of it. I had high hopes when I bought this tape....instead, my grandmother now listens to it.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good for beginners, August 11, 2001
By A Customer
This review is from: Weight Watchers Walk (Audio Cassette)
Like another reviewer, I bought this tape with high hopes for a great walk. The music is pretty, and I enjoy listening to it, but the pace is WAY TOO SLOW! I usually just put this in my walkman for company while I walk, and walk much faster. I also hate the beginning where the instructor talks through a warm-up and stretches. Why not just start walking? The longer workout, combining both sides of the tape, is what I usually use, and even this is not strenuous enough for me. Like I said before, the only reason I keep the tape, is that I like the music.
