4.0 out of 5 stars A band to watch!
A friend in the music business persuaded me to go to Nural's record release show at the Troubador recently, although I'd never heard of the band before and was initially reluctant. I was expecting something generic but this band really surprised me. I won't ramble on about the show, but if you do get the chance to see Nural play live, GO.

2.0 out of 5 stars Nothing incredible.
This cd reminds me of the cds you might buy when you were a preteen or something, one that was pretty much instantly catchy, and you liked it the more you listened to it until your intrest peaked, and then it just got annoying. I think Nural could very well get a major label deal after this one, because obviously some people think that nUrAl RoX mAn! The song structures...

I got my mitts on this CD on Sunday night, and I haven't been able to stop playing it ever since. While I wish they rocked as hard on the album as they did live, it's pretty darn good and the songs are great. My favorites would have to be Chasing You and Enlighten Me, because they have a strong anthemic feel to them. They wouldn't be out of place in the alt. rock top 40, or on the Madden game. Pretty impressive given the relative obscurity of the band. These guys are talented, and I honestly think Nural have what it takes to make it big. This album is definitely one to check out if you're a rocker.

5.0 out of 5 stars Easily one of the best bands to come along for a long time!, August 14, 2005

Being that my gf is a cousin to the lead singer of Nural, I have been listening to them for 2 years, and I must say congrats for this wonderful debut album. For me many bands that are on the radio today are stale and sterotypes. Now Nural comes along at a perfect time, with such hits like The Curse (My personal favorite), as well as the highly addictive Tension, Not Guilty, Lukewarm, and Chasing You are all some of the very best songs I have ever listened to. I Highly Reccomend Nural to fans of alternative rock. I can't wait till Nural hits #1 on the top charts, if they continue to release such top quality stuff, I can easily see them getting there! Good Job guys keep up the great work!

5.0 out of 5 stars Look at the price, buy it today!, April 24, 2011

High-energy guitar and drums, combined with the lead singer alternating between crooning and belting, occasionally including piano and strings to fill out their anthems.
Try "Tension" or "Enlighten Me" for the strong, up-beat rock ballads; "The Curse" has moments of smooth lyrical flow that are nearly rap-metal; juxtaposed with the beautiful lyrics and storytelling of "I Told You So" and the acoustic vocal talent demonstrated in "Forgive Me".
A great band, incredible vocal talent showcased throughout the album, a great deal at this price, and I can't wait for their next release. Play it loud and sing along.

Seriously, these guys were like 16 years old when they recorded this! One of the best debut albums I've ever heard. One of the only CD's that I can consistently keep coming back to over and over, and never get sick of.

Truly AMAZING song writing capabilities. Their newest album, "Entitlement" is even better, check it out!

A Kid's Review

If you could imagine a merger between Linkin Park, Three Doors Down and Yellowcard, you'd have Nural. Quality alternative rock with heavy and melodic leanings. The word "classic" has been dropped more than once with respect to Weight Of The World, so if you don't already own it, do yourself a favor and buy. Best CD I've heard in a long while!

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent band, September 12, 2005
This review is from: Weight of the World (Audio CD)
I had the privelage of playing in a band that opened for this band last fall. They were amazing live, and this album, their first studio release, certainly does them justice. Nural has their own sound ... powerful, yet melodic and thought provoking. Each of the members are excellent musicians and great song-writers, mixing intelligent lyrics with creative rhythms and time-signatures ("The Curse"). Favorites on this album include "Tension," "Chasing You," "The Curse," "Sign of Life," and "Years to Come." This is undoubtedly one of the best albums of the year by one of the best up-and-coming bands. BUY IT!!!!!!!

I have a been a big fan of this band for a few years and i love how their music has matured in the new album. I can easily relate to a lot of the songs. All of the tracks on the cd are excellent but a few of my favorites are 'Root of all Evil' 'Forgive Me' and 'Chasing You'.
