The best silver polish,
This review is from: Weiman Products LLC 014 Silver Cream (Kitchen)
Wright's Silver Cream is by far the best silver paste on the market, similar to jeweler's rouge. It works best on dust-free silver and I like to use old flannel material to buff with rather than the enclosed sponge. If you leave the lid loose and it dries up just add a little water. The active ingredient is silicon dioxide (sand) which is why you can use a little toothpaste to clean a piece of silver jewelry in a pinch.
Any silver paste will remove a tiny bit of silver so repeated polishings over many years will erode inexpensive plate. It is, after all, mechanical friction that removes the tarnish. This paste will even remove a mild pit or two caused by contact with salt or maybe impurities in the metal although it requires a good deal of effort. I have been using this brand for many years and highly recommend it. Anyone who has a question regarding silver polishing feel free to leave a comment and I'll reply.

Safe and Good,

This has become the only thing I'll use on my silver (silverware and jewelry and a few miscellanous objects). As mentioned, no real odor and no need for gloves, etc. This polish is easy on the silver, especially important for silverplate. It can take repeated cleaning for very heavily tarnished pieces, but I find the gentle cleaning worth the extra time. Once clean, the shiny finish lasts a long time.
I especially like that this is safe on jewelry with different stones -- have even used on pearls set in silver. I have some vintage jewelry that is vermeil (gold over sterling); the cream polish removes the tarnish from the underlying silver and restores the gleam of the gold without removing it (that is, there are pieces that have been repeatedly polished over years and years and the gold's still there). I use this with the sponge provided, with a toothbrush, and with a toothpick to get in crevices. The toothbrush is especially useful when rinsing pieces to get the polish off. The gentleness of this cleaner is evident to me when I've found some jewelry with polish left in a crevice and the pieces were unharmed. What can be messy is using this with a toothbrush and getting polish spatter up to 2 feet away -- just use common sense in where you do this and how you handle the brush. Polish spatter cleans up easily with water.

Worked like a charm,

After reading the reviews, I figured I'll order this for my silver-plated items. As soon as I received it, I polished 2 serving spoons to see if it works and it did. It was satisfying watching all that yucky stuff disappear!! I would purchase again: the service was quick, the packaging was great and the product worked- what more can a customer ask for?
