All it takes is one look at this CD, the artwork and the song titles, to know you're in for a weird ride. While the front cover is a rather arty, pretty picture of mushrooms, the huge phallic fungus on the back gives you an indication that what's actually ON the disc isn't normal. But that's what makes it so cool. "Weird Feelings" starts off with a bizarre garbled series of coughs and hacks, and progresses into a mind-bending mix of garbled voices, wacky surf and jam guitar, feedback, jazz stylings, "Art of Noise" style sound experimentation, death metal screaming, sound effects, organs, keyboards, electronica, and more. Think of Les Claypool tripping on acid with the lead singer of Ministry, the guys from Phish and a bunch of computer majors, and then sitting down to write music with all of them. And that's just the beginning. And you can't beat song titles like "Colostomy Grab Bag" (track 11) and "2 Shoes Per Phallus. (Track 3). Other standouts are Track 6 "Blickems," as well as "Hey Nanny" and "Clowns on Country."
