5.0 out of 5 stars Weird Georgia
I think these books are the coolest series of non-fiction out there. I bought Weird Kentucky from a local bookstore here and started reading it. Being originally from Georgia, I knew I had to have the Georgia version of the book. For anyone who's into Paranormal and just weird information for their local area, or anywhere in the country, I recommend these books. I...

I had bought the Weird Indiana book a few years back and I loved it! It was full of lots of oddities about Indiana. I assumed Weird Georgia would be very similar- unfortunately it was a disappointment. Most of the stories inside are about paranormal, aliens, and that's about it. I was hoping for world records, funny lawn ornaments, etc. If I wanted Haunted GA or...

Everyone should have a Weird "whatever state you are from" book. It makes road trips so much fun. Okay some of the stuff is lame but there is a lot of cool stuff listed and you get to check out little corners of your state. Great gift idea!!

4.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining and fun!, August 8, 2008

I was born, raised, and still live in Georgia. I have visited some of these places, and I actually live in Rabbittown. I borrowed the book from the local library, and after reading it, wanted a copy for myself. Sure, some of the stories are exaggerated, but this book is still highly entertaining.

I have lived in Georgia all of my life and had heard some of these tales. It is fun to read and stimulates good conversation! I had to order a second copy for my home since I had given the first one to a relative!

I really great and interesting book. Encourages reader to travel to these unusual sights. The only thing that would make it better would be to be more descriptive of the locations.

I assumed Weird Georgia would be very similar- unfortunately it was a disappointment. Most of the stories inside are about paranormal, aliens, and that's about it. 4.0 out of 5 stars Weird GA, May 19, 2010

I am finding many new places to visit! The book is more "intellectual" than I expected from the title, but it is also more educational than I expected. While the book would be useful for anyone planning to visit the state, it may be more useful to people who want to know their own state better. Maybe best of all is that many of the stories are inspirational as well as entertaining and educational.

i live in cochran and went to the library in Columbus, GA and one of the librarians told my husband and myself about the book. i work at the new hospital in hawkinsville. the old hospital is still standing and i have 2 pictures of orbs that i took standing outside hospital in the parking lot at night and i also saw a black shape at a door near the what a couple of us think might have been the icu. the owner of the property is now having the hospital renovated and it has a fence aroud it now to keep people out.

I was pleasantly surprised by this book. It is really what it says. It tells you about places that i had never heard of in Ga and have lived here for 24 years.

5.0 out of 5 stars Weird (and wonderful!) Georgia, December 25, 2008

I first flipped through this book over at a friend's house and knew I had to get a copy. It's a great read, and it's a great book to place out for others to read. I bought one for a Christmas gift and bought two Weird Florida(s) for gifts for friends in Florida. Each story is only 1,2,or 3 pages, so it's easy to read a few stories and pick it up again later.
