This book is great. Gives a very different view of Michigan. Interesting information not found elsewhere. I want to go on a long road trip and see these places.

A fun, entertaining, 'coffee table' book. Lots of short articles from places all over Michigan that have interesting and odd stories.
Accurate from the standpoint of a few of the places I already knew about. Perfect for you or your guests to spend a few minutes browsing through, reading a few articles.

This book was soooooo interesting. I couldn't put it down. It seems like most of the weird things though are out of my reach as I live in south-western Michigan and a lot of the really weird stuff in in the north and far west of Michigan. Interesting, for example: Darwin Road leads to Hell. Hm . . . it really does. Darwin Road will lead you into the city of Hell, Michigan. Also, Paradise, Michigan is almost exactly 666 miles from Hell, Michigan. Wow!!! Also, we here in Brighton have known for years about the satanic cults, but reading about them in this book reinforced that. And much much more. The pictures are good too. Worth buying and reading.

Good Book,

Although not something I would normally read, I picked up Weird Michigan in the library and found it a great read. It was more than entertaining on my airplane trip and I enjoyed the layout very much. I have to admit I've searched out, both electronically and in person, some of the subjects. Well written and very interesting.

I liked to learn about little places throughout Michigan that I might not see on a "What to do" / vacation website. Could do with less haunted stories. The sequel to this book has even more of that stuff, so I was disappointed in the sequel.

I bought this book and would have returned it had I kept the reciept and Borders had not closed. There was misinformation in the book. Locations and stories were wrong. I was turned off to the book once I had read the stories for Monroe, MI. They were incorrect. If these were wrong then I'm sure others were also. Doesn't someone do fact checking for these?
