Great physician-level herb manual,

This is one of the texts I recommend to my students for learning botanical medicine at a physician level. Weiss practiced using primarily herbs for over 50 years in Germany, and the quality of his text is almost unparalleled. Everything is practical and based on hundreds if not thousands of patients he saw. Surprisingly Weiss tended to use simples, but not always. He also used a lot of teas and other crude extracts with remarkable efficacy and safety. A great advocate for whole plants. The only major flaws are the sometimes odd disease name translations and the extreme difficulty translating the doses.
