5.0 out of 5 stars This really does work!
We were having a problem with brown recluse spiders in our home. This pest controller eliminated most of them. When one first uses it, it will actually make pests more active because it disrupts their normal cycles. After about 4-6 weeks, the number of pests one sees will be greatly reduced. Sound frequencies don't travel through walls, so this unit should be placed...

2.0 out of 5 stars Annoying clicking noise
I bought the Weitech 1500 Pest Repeller hoping to get rid of a pesky mouse but 3 weeks later, it's still running around!

The worse part of the product is the irritating clicking noise it makes, just imagine hearing your alarm clock all day, just not as loud. It's driving me crazy! I don't know what's worse the steady annoying clicking noise or knowing that the mouse is...

The worse part of the product is the irritating clicking noise it makes, just imagine hearing your alarm clock all day, just not as loud. It's driving me crazy! I don't know what's worse the steady annoying clicking noise or knowing that the mouse is still here. I'm still hoping that it'll work because i can't imagine actually killing the mouse and trying to throw it out.

We have been using this product for 3 weeks and have not noticed an improvement in our bug problem. We still have spiders and other creepy crawleys.

When one first uses it, it will actually make pests more active because it disrupts their normal cycles. After about 4-6 weeks, the number of pests one sees will be greatly reduced. Sound frequencies don't travel through walls, so this unit should be placed in a more open area. Smaller units are available for smaller places. We have this unit and 2 of the 1000 square feet units. I'm buying one more for our garage--that's how satisfied we are with the product.

I came to Amazon.com after being unable to find the Weitech Pest Repeller anywhere. We had a really big problem with Brown Recluse spiders in our home several years ago. We would find one or two per week on the walls or ceiling (heaven only knows how many were on the brown carpet).

I bought a multi-pac of four model #0582 at Sam's Club. They worked so good I bought two more multi-pacs later for my shop. We haven't seen any spiders or bugs for years. It is amazing. I now need some for my grandkid's homes. Mine make no noise at all.

By the way, there is a treatment for the horrible results of the Brown Recluse (fiddle back) spider if you can get to the doctor in four hours or so. I was bitten and so was my son. We both had a doctor treat us and only had a reddining that grew to the size of a sliver dollar and lasted for a month, but eventually went completely away. I don't know what the doctor used but it was a shot and a series of pills.....maybe cortasone.

I bought these for my basement and a porch that was closed in many many years ago. My main purpose was for repelling mice. So far so good! My only dislike about the product is, it has 2 settings one for creepy insects and bugs, while the other is for long tailed four legged critters. It would be nice if one setting would work for all. As for the noise, you do have the option of silent or audible. I prefer the audible. If it annoys me then I know it's annoying the mice too! Thus far it has done a good job of keeping them out.
