5.0 out of 5 stars Eight is Enough - Christmas! June 25, 2010

This is an early in the series 2 part episode. It's just afetr the loss of Diana Hyland (Joan, the Bradford mother). The epsiode deal sensitively to the family's first Christmas without their mother and also deals with the addition of Abby (Betty Buckley). There's so really great moments in the 2 part episode even though their Christmas is ruined by guest star Will Gier (The Walton's). Yes, Nicholas there is a Santa Claus is a grea title for this. I just wish more of Eight is Enough would be on DVD. Can you name all the Bradford children and who played them?

Here they are followed by who played them:
David - Grant Goodeve
Mary - Lani O'Grady
Susan - Susan Richardson
Joanie - Laurie Walters
Nancy - Diane Kay
Elizabeth - Connie Needham (Newton)
Tommy - Willie Aames
Nicholas - Adam Rich

5.0 out of 5 stars The good old days... December 21, 2012

The holiday shows bring back fond memories. These shows are from a time when humor relied on clever words and scenarios rather than profanity and shock.

5.0 out of 5 stars feels like a visit back in time October 21, 2012

I have enjoyed the Walton tv shows This episode is one of my favorites. Christmas has always been a precious time for our family to be together. I can understand the Mother's desire to have all the family together for as long as she can. Although I was not alive during the 1940's I feel like I could have connected with a family like the Walton's.

1.0 out of 5 stars what a waste May 27, 2012

What a waste of time and money. I downloaded this but can't watch it unless the Amamzon downloader is open on my computer. Forget about trying to save it to a CD it's copyright protected and has to remain on your PC taking up resources.

FOR WALTONS'S FANS, THIS EPISODE HAS IT ALL FROM CHRISTMAS COOKIES TO CHRISTMAS CAROLS. OLIVIA WANTS ALL THE FAMILY TOGETHER FOR "THE BEST CHRISTMAS" BECAUSE "WHO KNOWS WHERE THE CHILDREN WILL BE NEXT YEAR". BUT INSTEAD EVERYONE IS SCATTERED ON CHRISTMAS EVE AND EACH IS BESET WITH THEIR OWN PERSONAL CRISIS TO WORK THRU--FROM AN ICY POND RESCUE TO A NEAR MISS WITH THE CHURCH ROOF FALLING THRU TO BEING SNOWED IN WHILE VISITING A FRIEND!
BUT ALL'S WELL THAT ENDS WELL AS THE FAMILY COMES FULL CIRCLE FOR A JOYOUS CHRISTMAS MORNING!!
